Miki sighed and pushed herself up. "I will go outside and watch you freeze to death so you won't be alone in your last moments."

Silver grimaced, blinking at Kissa, unsure if she was serious or not. "Wait… really? You watch horror?"

Cage squeals. “THANKS. I’m gonna go jump in now. It’s exciting.” He dashes to the back door, unlocking it and running out.

Kissa turns her head, squinting at Sil. “What did you expect me to watch? Nature documentaries? Rom Coms?”

Miki trudged after him and dropped into a pool chair, hugging herself. "Hurry up, I'm already freezing."

Silver shrugged. "I mean… yeah, okay, I guess I can't imagine you watching anything else. But… is it really bad horror?"

Cage turns around, the freezing breeze catching his fluffy hair as he gives Miki a smile. "You don't wanna swim? it's nice and cooooollld."
Gabriel glares down, sitting perched on the light post above the pool.
You're gonna freeze to death.

Kissa rolls her eyes, refocusing on the screen. "What do you count as 'really bad horror'? Rated R?"

Miki shook her head and rubbed her hands together. "Hurry up and jump in and die so I can go back inside."

Silver cringed. "Anything scary counts as bad horror."

Kissa scoffs. “It’s horror, Sil. But I’ll go easy on you and play a PG-13 movie.” She scrolls through. “…what do you like to watch..?” She mumbles.

He smiles, then turns around and jumps in.
Gabriel furrows his brow.
Stupidity is his dominate characteristic.

Silver turned her attention to the bag, very intentionally digging around in the candy. "Um… I… sometimes… like to watch chick-flicks." her voice trailed away into a mumble.

Miki sat still, eyes widening as she watched the water and waited for him to come up.

Are you serious?
She bites the inside of her lip and gives a teeny nod. “No horror? Never once?”

Cage resurfaces, smiling and gasping for breath. He swims to the other side of the pool then back, then goes under again.
Gabriel sighs, turning visible as his breath curls up like smoke around his pale face.

"No." Silver mumbled, pulling out a chocolate bar and unwrapping it. "I don't like scary movies."

"Are you even cold??" Miki calls to him when he's close enough. "Man alive, I would have died by now, Cage."

(oooh, it's been so long D:)(I apologize, it seems the holidays got to me.)

Biting the inside of her cheek, Kissa stares blankly at the screen.
You invited her in here.
She scoots, leaving room for Sil in front of the laptop. "That's fine. You pick."

Cage smiles, going to speak, but his mouth fills with water and he coughs, giggling.
"No-cough- It actually -cough- feels great!"
He swims to the steps, coughing every now and then, and pulls himself out. He peels his shirt from his skin, giggling quietly, and runs a hand through his sopping hair.

Silver swallowed and opened a candy bar. "No, it's okay. I want to see what kind of movies you watch. Just… maybe like a tame one? Not a super scary one?"

Miki stood up and flapped her arms around to get warm. "I'll telling Gabe–no, I'm telling Ben that something is wrong with you and you probably just killed your brain by jumped in the pool when it's like ten degrees out here."

She raises an eyebrow slightly, “I’ll just play a thriller. They’re not as scary or gory I guess.” She scrolls down and clicks on ‘A Quiet Place’, sitting back and shoving her hand in a bowl of popcorn before standing to turn off the lights.

Cage shrugs. “Ben already say- cough- says I have no brain, sooo.” He ruffles her hair with his hand, smiling with his eyes closed. “C’mon. Let’s get inside before you freeze.”

Silver stuffed the candy bar in her mouth and opened another. "That sounds really scary."

Miki shrieked and raced away from him. "Don't TOUCH ME with your wet cold hands!" she darted to the door and threw it open. "GABE, Cage is gonna die of hypothermia!!!"

Kissa rolls her eyes, plopping down on the bed beside her to watch the opening screen. “Trust me, it’s not.”

Cage starts to laugh, staying still.
Gabriel materializes, spreading his dark, thin wings against the deep violet sky. He looms down over them, still perched on the lamppost, his pale skin in contrast with his dark hair and wings.

Miki turned around to beckon Cage inside and saw Gabriel just as he became visible. His wings cast a giant shadow over Cage. A fraction of Miki's mind knew that it was actually just Gabe, but it wasn't enough. She let out a banshee worthy shriek of terror.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Silver took a deep breath, trying to convince herself that at the very least the opening credits wouldn't be scary, but Miki's scream shot through the house and Silver jumped, letting out a shriek of her own as she tumbled off the bed.

Cage shrinks in Gabriel’s massive shadow, shrieking and darting into the house. He pulls Miki in with him and slams the door, breathing heavily. “WHAT WAS IT?!! YOUREALLYSCAREDME.”

Kissa perks up, squinting out the window without even gasping a little. She pauses the movie. “What are they doing?”

Miki sank against the wall and slowly slipped down to the floor, gasping for breath and holding her hands over her heart. "It was… ih was… ohhhhhhh my word…" she sucked in a deep lungful of air. "It was just Gabe. Oh my word, he scared me so bad."

Silver sat up, clutching the bed, and trying to still her racing heart. "My land, was that Miki?" she asked, even though she already knew. She could feel Miki's terror, even from the other end of the house. "I'm gonna go check on them."

Cage sighs, rubbing his forehead and closing his eyes. “Wa- what?” He huffs and sits beside her. “Really?”

Gabriel wraps his wings around himself and freezes, holding his breath as he becomes invisible.
What is it?
He clenches his jaw, eyes wide, before he works up the courage to open his wings just enough to peek out.

Kissa stands, sighing. “They probably saw a bug or something stupid.” She mumbles, turning the light on.

Silver headed out of the bedroom and leaned out over the railing. "Hey, what's going on?" she called to Miki and Cage below.

Miki started again, not expecting to hear Sil's voice. "Oh! Sorry! Gabriel just appeared outside and scared us."

Silver raised an eyebrow. "Why is he outside? It's freezing out there."

Cage bites his lip. “Uhhh, weeelllll….” a chill runs up his spine and he shivers. “I may have been… swimming.”

Gabriel lowers his wings so they drag on the pavement below, and he leaps down from the post. He glares around, looking for… basically anything.
What was it??

Silver blinked at him. "Swimming?? Right now? At night? When it's negative 90 degrees outside??"

"I tried to stop him!" Miki cried. "But he insisted. I think something's wrong with his head."

Silver sighed. "Where is Gabriel now? Is he still outside?"

Cage rolls his eyes. “It’s not negative Ninety because it wasn’t completely frozen.”
He turns to look at the door, one of Gabriel’s hands pressed against it as he scans the area. You can see the marks of his fingers on the glass.
“Yeah, I think he’s right there.”

Miki turned to look too and started again. "AAHH. Oh my word, why is he always so creepy and scary. Sil, come make your boyfriend come inside and act like a normal person!" she wailed.

Silver rolled her eyes and leaped over the railing, gliding down to land beside them by the door. "I can make him come inside, but you know now power on earth can make him be normal." she shot her sister a grin and gently opened the door, trying to not spook Gabriel from the movement.

Gabriel steps back, taking his hand off the door and looking to Sil. “What were they afraid of?” He asks quietly.

Cage stares at the door. “I mean. I guess He isnt a normal person. He’s not even human apparently.”

Silver smiled and reached out, taking his arm and gently pulling him inside, closing the door behind him. "It's okay. Nothing's out there. Miki was just being weird. You know how she is."

"What?? Me??" Miki yelped. "He was the one watching us from that pole like a stinkin' vamp–"

Silver flicked her hand, flinging up a silent barrier around Miki. "Nothing. She's just… never mind her." she said to Gabe.
