Cage giggles quietly. “Knowing Vi, Miki, she’s gonna want a baby in a few years.”
She glares. “Whatever.” She checks her watch, blinking. “Geez, why is our bedtime so early?”
“They said you can stay awake in your room.” Gabriel states.
She sighs, leaning back. “Yeah, but that’s no fun.”
Miki nodded solemnly. "Okay. Well. When that happens we'll have to sit down with Ben and Vi and make sure they're ready and they understand what it involves."
Silver rolled her eyes. "Oh my word, Kiss, you have the best bedroom in the house and you don't even like being in it. If I had your room I would chill on that huge bed all day long."
“Do we know what that involves? I’ve never had a baby.” Cage states, taking a bit of pasta.
She huffs and glares across the room. “No. It’s no fun. What am I supposed to do??”
Gabriel shrugs, “I don’t know, maybe be thankful for what you have for once?”
"Well, neither have I." Miki said. "But I raised Silver so I kinda know what babies and kids are like."
Silver groaned and leaned back over the arm of the sofa. "We could hang out in your room if you didn't bite anyone who walked in. That would be more fun than chilling by yourself."
Cage shoves his plate of pasta to the side and leans on the counter. “I guess maybe. But then Ben probably knows too, because he had me from a really young age too.”
Kissa shrugs. “You can hang out in my room tonight I guess…”
Gabriel smiles. “Yeah? You sure?”
She rolls her eyes. “Don’t make me regret it.”
Miki nodded. "True. I guess he does know what he's doing. Maybe his kids would be alright."
Silver slowly sat up, raising an eyebrow at Kissa. "You won't bite me?"
Kissa scowls. “I didn’t say that.”
“She won’t bite.” Gabriel reassures.
“Yeeeah, no I still think he doesn’t want kids. They’re too hard.” He gasps. “Miki! Will our kids inherit our elements?”
Silver grinned. "Well, I'll just bite back. And then tattle to Ben."
"OHMYWORD." Miki cried, grabbing his arms. "WHAT IF THEY DID? THAT WOULD BE SO COOL."
Kissa goes to respond, but turns her head towards Miki and Cage. “Geez, what’s going on??”
Cage turns, beaming, “WHAT IF our kids inherit elemental powers?!?”
Silver's eyes widened. "Why are you talking about that??"
"NO BUT SIL" Miki said. "What if your kids are born with tiny leetle wings???"
Cage stands from his chair. "OMG yes! And what if Ben had little evil fire children? This would be amazing!"
Kissa stares in disgust. "If you mean amazing by totally terrible, then yes. Nobody here wants mini-Ben's running around."
Gabriel raises an eyebrow. "Like a normal toddler, times five. But all in one toddler."
Miki burst out laughing. "Can you imagine though?? They would set everything on fire!"
Silver rolled her eyes. "How do you two even think of these things?"
Kissa closes her eyes, taking in a deep breath.
I can't believe I live with these people.
Cage smiles, "But wouldn't it be cool if our kids had powers? Sil?"
Silver raised her eyebrows. "Um? No? I wouldn't want to inflict my abilities on anyone."
"Okay, but what if it wasn't your abilities? What if you had kids with… fire, like Ben."
Silver shook her head violently. "No. Fire children would be even worse."
Cage squints. “Also. It wouldn’t make much sense for our kids to have different powers than us. I don’t think. Maybe.”
Kissa stands, waving them off. “Whatever. You guys are weird.” She walks into the kitchen, grabbing a hidden package of Oreos, and heads upstairs.
Cage watches as she trails off. “Ssoooooo. What random and weird think shall we do with the time we have left?”
Silver rolled off the couch, hitting the floor and using her wings to rise back to her feet. "Sorry, Kiss invited me to hang out with her in her room and even if she kills me later I'm not passing up an opportunity to chill on her awesome bed."
Miki gave her a skeptical look as she passed. "It was nice knowing you, sis. I will remember you fondly."
Cage pulls himself up onto the couch and Gabriel promptly stands, turning invisible and walking away. “Are you sure she didn’t forget her offer, Sil? She might kill you on sight.”
Silver waved to them over her shoulder and flew up to the second story. "Ta ta." she said blandly and disappeared down the hall. Ducking into her room, she grabbed her bag of stashed candy and tip toed to Kissa's doorway.
Miki groaned and flopped on the floor. "Whatever. They can go have their adult talks away from us where they can't ruin our fun." she paused for a second and said, "CAGE, what if you and Robby have tiny little water babies???"
Cage blushes, but not before smiling. “I was more of thinking, Kissa is going to have demons as children.”
Kissa is sprawled out on her bed, her bed stand holding her laptop as she scrolls through movies.
"Oh no." Miki said, staring at the ceiling in horror. "We can't ever ever let her get married, Cage."
Silver tapped on the door, pushing it open a few inches. "So… is that invitation open right now or do you need some time alone for a while?" she asked quietly.
He raises an eyebrow. “And how do you intend to stop her?”
Kissa turns her head, giving Sil a sharp-toothed grin. “Nah, you can come in.”
She was silent for a few moments. "True. She'd just kills us and get married anyway."
Silver edged into the room, holding up her bag of candy. "I brought snacks."
Cage nods. “My point exactly. So whenever she does have kids, they’re going to be demons.”
He sighs, pinching the couch idly. “What if we went swimming.”
Kissa pats the bed beside her. “Good. I expected nothing less.”
Miki craned her neck to peer at him. "Right now?? It's like… negative ten degrees outside, Cage! And we don't even have Ben here to warm up the water for us."
Silver grinned and hopped up on the bed, settling in beside Kissa and setting the bag between them. "So what are we gonna watch?"
Cage jumps off the couch. “So you’ll do it with me? Please?!”
Kissa bites the inside of her cheek, glaring at the screen. “Emmm. Horror.”
