Zach looked for a couple moments. "Yeah, actually. This one."
Zach looked for a couple moments. "Yeah, actually. This one."
"How far? I need to know when to take off." He looked farther down the road. "I think we can get there by tonight if we take that highway. It's much less trafficed."
He nodded. "The next right exit, actually. Pretty close to here."
Felix nodded. "Are you nervous?" He then asked in a small voice.
"For what, love?" Zach asked, putting the map down and glancing over at him.
"You know," Felix said. "Meeting my parents and stuff. Most boyfriends are usually nervous when they are meeting their partners parents."
(If I don't answer it's because I'm out of battery… I only have 3 %)
"I'm not nervous. No." Zach decided. "I can't suppose they'd be particularly nerve-racking to me."
Felix just laughed and shook his head slightly. He switched the song on his phone and took Zach's hand, casually holding it in his own between them on the cupholder.
As small as the action was, Zach blushed some and glanced over at Felix with a smile before turning his eyes back to the road. Even now, he couldn't believe his luck. That he - he, Zach, had this amazing human being as…his.
"You better believe it," Felix muttered with a smile, hearing what Zach was thinking. "I'll be yours for as long as you want me to. I'll be here to annoy you for a long time, I hope."
"I forgot you could read my mind for a moment," Zach mumbled, blushing a little more. "I hope so too."
(Time skip?)
(yeah sounds good)
(So… to the next hotel? Or to the house?)
((House, if they get there today.))
Felix pulled over to the side of the road. He could see his own house a bit ahead. It was pretty late. He took a deep breath and looked at the house. It was yellow, a color that he really liked. Everything about the place felt familiar and like home. Mainly because it had been his home. But now… he didn't know.
“It’s okay,” Zach reassured him, squeezing his hand with a small smile. “Just get your stuff. Here, I’ll go with you.”
"Thanks." Felix sighed, closing his eyes for just a second before opening the car door. "Back to hell," he muttered quietly to himself while getting out.
You’ll be fine, okay? Just breath and get everything, Zach thought to him, taking his hand as the two walked up to the house.
Felix stopped by the door. "Stay here," he said, letting go of Zach's hand.
He walked around the house, looking up at the window to his bedroom. It was pretty high, and locked from the inside.
He went back to the front were Zach waited. "We can't get in through any other way than this entrance, and I don't have my key." He sighed. "We'll have to ring the doorbell and hope that they open. I'll just have to confront them."
“Okay. That’s fine.” Zach told him, taking his hand again.
"Okay." Felix took one more breath
Come one, Felix, you can do this, he told himself.
He rang the doorbell.
It took a couple of seconds, but then his mother opened. Her welcoming smile faded away as she saw him. "Felix."
Felix bit his lip. He looked his mom in the eyes. "Hello, mother," he said stiffly.
You're doing fine, Zach reassured him, glancing at Felix's mother.
Felix's mother looked at Zach. She smiled when she saw Zach's hand in Felix's. "So I see that you have finally decided to agree to our wedding after all! I'm delighted, my son. I knew that you would accept it, sooner or later." She laid a hand on Felix's shoulder, smiling at him.
