Felix looked thoughtfully at the other boy and smiled. ”That’s good.” He sneaked into the bathroom. ”See you in a minute.”

“Okay.” Zach crossed his legs on the bed, humming a old tune he’d learned well in his childhood.
Felix closed the door behind him and sat down on the floor, leaning against the door. He was honestly freaking out. Why had he proposed that they would share the bed? He wanted to, but he wasn’t sure he could. Lying that close to the most gorgeous existing creature on earth? Probably impossible.
Zach sighed as he hummed, fiddling with his ribbon. He was going to stay with Felix as long as he could, as long as he could get through tonight first. It wasn’t bad, just…making him a little nervous.
Felix quickly brushed his teeth. He wondered if he had had a bad breath when they kissed earlier. He really hoped not. He washed his face and looked himself in the mirror. He wasn’t hot, was he? That dark hair… he assumed it could look pretty good sometimes. And his skintone was okay. The only thing he really liked about himself was the eyes. They were cool. When he was younger, he liked to pretend that he could freeze people with his gaze. Like some kind of superhero with superpowers. Back then he would have never imagined that he actually had a superpower of his own. He had just thought that it was natural to hear other peoples thought. Surprise! It’s not!
Zach ran another hand through his soft hair, still humming. What with all the second form things, he didn’t really worry about his human appearance much - he concentrated on keeping it human. Felix, though? Felix was absolutely beautiful, whether he knew so or not, he thought.
Felix put a fist over his mouth not to scream as he heard Zach’s thought. A small, high-pitched sound came out through his fingers. His eyes widdened and his heart pounded. If the nervosity was bad before, it now increased with twice the size. He felt all warm inside, but nauseous at the same time.
“You good?” Zach looked up from his ribbon worriedly.
(There I go using your word)
(I aparently have a bad influence on ya lol. Still not sure if it is actually a real word though. Is it?)
”Yep. Totally,” Felix squeaked from inside the bathroom. ”Everything is fine.”
(idk but native english speakers only speak like 10% actual english so it's fine)
"Hm. Okay." Zach tilted his head and turned back to his ribbon. "You were right, this time." He mumbled to it. It was inanimate, but it had a backstory, and a purpose. "I mean, you're never not right. But you were extra right this time." He smiled at it a little bit as he waited for Felix.
Felix stopped. What the…? ”Who are you talking to?”
"What? Oh, um…" Zach blinked. "Would you think I was weird if I told you I was talking to a ribbon?"
Felix opened the bathroom door, stuck his head out and made a face as if he was thinking. ”Let me see… You have already showed me that you are a werewolf, and we are both running away from crazy, forced marriages. So, no. I have heard crazier things than people talking to a ribbon. I don’t think you are weird.”
Zach grinned. "Thanks. It doesn't even talk back, I mean…" He shook his head. "I should probably stop talking now."
”You probably should.” Felix pointed fingerguns at him and came out from the bathroom.
Zach giggled softly. "Okay, then. If you want." He unfolded his legs from their crossed position and left them hanging over the edge of the bed.
”You know what, I changed my mind.” Felix crawled up next to Zach on the bed and gave him a soft, quick kiss on the neck. ”I don’t want you to shut up. Not at all.”
"Well, okay, now I don't know what to talk about," Zach fake-complained, smiling at Felix.
”Talk about anything you want.” He kissed him once more, further down the shoulder this time. ”I want to know everything about you.”
"Um…well, I really like you, and the ribbon, and fruit loops. And I really don't like cold things, or my parents, or sometimes being a werewolf. But you seem to like it, so that's fine." Zach sighed, thinking of other things to say. "I know that pink peonies get a lighter pink instead of dying the longer you keep them. I know that chocolate milk tastes better when it's warm. I think I'm out of ideas." He admitted, giggling.
Felix stopped for a second, just staring at him in amazement. ”How do you manage to be adorable while talking about freaking peonies?”
"I don't know. You think I'm adorable?" Zach asked, staring back at him with equal amazement.
Felix tilted his head, smirking happily. ”Isn’t that obvious?”
"I guess it is," Zach responded with a happy shrug. "Not that it's a problem, either." He kissed Felix lightly, pulling back with a giggle.
Felix didn’t want to, but he couldn’t stop himself from yawning. He wanted to keep this thing going, not go to sleep. But his eyes didn’t really care about that, because he could feel them slowly getting more and more sleepy.
