"Well, I'm pretty sure I have a bit of verbal magic." Emrys shrugged. "For example: there's a rose in my hand." She held up her hand and a rose appeared in it. "Most things I say actually happen. Within reason, of course. I couldn't just say 'you were never born' or 'go back in time'." Emrys tossed the rose to Loren. "Not as cool as having wings, though."
(Hey! I mean, if a complete newbie joined I'd probably make it an o/o but since I know for a fact neither of you are new, why not make this a group rp?)
(Sure! I've tried making an rp but it didn't work and then all the other RP's I'm in have died XD)
(I see! Alright then! Jump in whenever)

(Should I just burst in as a late student and we're all in a room or what works best for what you guys were thinking?)
(Being in the same room would give a reason for them all to be together. They could all be the roommates that saved the world!)
Idk I guess you could be like a transfer student?
Zuri burst into the room with her bag on her back and her suitcase in her hand.
"Stupid security," she mumbles. The door hits the wall hard and Zuri stops suddenly, realizing that Emrys and Lorel were there.
"Hi. I'm your new roommate." She throws the bag on her back on the floor and looks at them annoyed. "Well? Where should I put my stuff?"
(* Loren)
"I, uh… sorry who are you again? I didn't see you on the list…" Loren raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Um, what?" Emrys asked, frowning at Zuri. "There's no need to be so rude, roommate. And there's also no need to break the place in the first day."
(Sorry!)
"The name's Zuri. I'm new," Zuri replies tersely. It was a struggle just getting into the school as the 'welcome team' was basically the TSA. She was soooo tempted to just sing her way in, but she knew she would get kicked out and she needed this opportunity.
She glared at Emrys and then reached down to grab her phone out of her backpack.
(That's fine)
"…new? You weren't on the list, perhaps you're in the wrong room?" Loren gritted her teeth and tried not to lose it. She needed to stay calm, heck, she didn't even know why she was mad. Deep breaths in and out, she told herself and followed her instructions and felt calmer, and much better. Loren tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
"Zuri." Emrys glared back at Zuri. "Like Loren said, your name wasn't on the list." She crossed her arms and leaned back in the bed. This is exactly what she was nervous about: a (possibly) unfriendly roommate.
"Nope. Last-minute addition. They told me to go here so here I am. So…" she trailed off, trying to remember the names she was given. "You guys are Emrys and Loren?"
Loren sighed. "Yeah, that'd be us," she looked at Emrys. "Do we have a third bed in here?"
"Yeah. I was kinda confused about that, but now it makes sense." Emrys pointed to the third bed and pushed her glasses up her nose again. "Welcome to the room, I guess. I'm Emrys, by the way. That's Loren." She waved at Loren.
Zuri lets out a pent up sigh and forces herself to smile. She might as well suck it up if she was going to be living with them.
"Thanks," she replies. She wastes no time unpacking on her bed.
"Good thing there is a third bed because otherwise, I'd have to sleep on the floor, the couch, or -don't be too weirded out- in the water," she says, trying to start up a conversation. "And since this is a magic school or whatever, what's your guys' abilities?"
"I have verbal magic." Emrys sighed. "Anything I say- within reason- happens. Do you want an example?" She asked, trying to be friendly. "And what do you do?"
"Sure," Zuri replies, trying to return it. "I have the siren song. Along with it comes certain… attributes in the water."
"I see…" Loren did in fact see what Zuri was implying. Or at least, she thought she did. She shut her eyes in concentration and focused on the one thought. This is my power, she thought, and then focused on sending it to Zuri. It was harder, since she'd only known Zuri for three seconds, and she'd known Loren for about five minutes.
"Cool. Okay." Emrys paused, thinking about what to do. "Look. A butterfly made of light." She held up her hand and a butterfly made of blue light appeared over it. It fluttered around the room before bursting into colored sparks, which twinkle out of existence. "What does the siren song let you do?"
Zuri flinched noticeably as Loren's message reached her and then gasped as the butterfly burst into color.
"Oh wow. I feel like ya'll are more interesting. The siren song just lets you influence the listener. Exactly like a real siren. You can really use any song with any words, but it's just more fun to use slow and melodious songs when putting people into a trance. Would either of you two like to volunteer in my demonstration?" A mischevious grin creeps on her face.
