VERY GOOD

I got to go to a paper-making festival, just got some of my custom-made recycled paper back and I made a thing. Name: Mar, uses it/its pronouns, is a sad bean. The words on the side are just my watermark for my art social media.

I felt like drawing Eliza Hamilton digitally, and my digital art usually sucks, but I actually don’t hate how this turned out

I needed to practice anatomy so I doodled a ballerina that totally wasn't referenced from the first google image result when I searched "ballerina photography"
I normally don't share my study sketches but I'm pretty happy with this one :D

Update: I've blocked in the basic shaded areas with my pencil tool and now I definitely want to turn this into a finished project, except now I have really high expectations which is never a good thing…

More updates because I'm really excited about this one:

I'm attempting to color this using the grayscale-to-color method instead of my usual throw-stuff-at-a-canvas-until-it-looks-decent method, it's obviously not done, I still need to clean things up, mess with the values a bit, add highlights in areas, etc. But I just thought I'd share the progress

I also gave up on shoes because I can't draw shoes and I don't care enough to learn at the moment. It that a terrible attitude? Definitely. Am I going with it anyway? _^…yes

"Can´t draw soes" same…still, it looks good, like seriously, it´s really fraking good, IT LOOKS AMAZING! ("throw-stuff-at-a-canvas-until-it-looks-decent method" that is a mood, definitely a mood)

This portrait is of my dearly loved Aunt Becky. She and I were extremely close, and I miss her so very much. She passed away from 3 brain aneurysms quite unexpectedly 7 years ago. I did this portrait during my Senior year, had it framed, and took a few minutes out of my own day (my graduation party/open house) to present it to my uncle; I even gave a speech before giving it to him.
