Hey, so, I've already suggested this one through the Help Center, but Imma put it here for others to see
How about making it so that Buildings can also be linked in Scene pages along with Locations?

I like that one.
@RamblingBirdNerd. I so agree. I have the same issue with race/ethnicities. I do use the groups page to link them by ethnies, but its not as complete as i would like. I would love to be able to create a distinct ethny or even sub-species in a same race. I have a complexe, yet isolated race that function by tribes and clans, even if they are the same species, and share the same basic set of laws and religion, they do have different dialects, physical apparences and traditions. I don
t really see the point of creating a different race by clan.
Groups maybe?
Using the '' Groups '' option right is the best right now to do it, however it cannot link with pages for traditions, towns, countries, governments, landmarks, languages and such. I have created some new categories for my own purpuses, such as distinct physical trait, tradition, ressources and trades/economics advantages, but it remains a bit on the light side.
I just had an idea on a way to improve how pictures are handled. Instead having each page have its own separate image gallery, just have one central image gallery for each user, kind of like how timelines and documents are handled. Then, you know how on Facebook you can tag peoples' faces in photos? Add something like that (not restricted to faces, of course) so that users can tag pages directly on the image, so that when you mouse over it (or tap it on mobile), the tagged pages appear and are able to be clicked on. Any images a page is "tagged" in would appear in that page's "image gallery," kind of like how on Facebook there's a "photos you're tagged in" folder on your page. For instance, I have a picture of a group of characters, which I would like to be visible in all four of their galleries. However, I don't want to upload it four times. So, being able to just upload it once and then tag all four characters would be very helpful.
Of course, another (probably more popular) use for this would be the ability to make interactive maps: simply upload a picture of a map you'd like to use, then tag the locations, countries, towns, landmarks, buildings, etc. pages you'd like, and boom, you have your map. Same exact system and site location, but different use. It'd be a lot simpler than trying to code an entire in-site map-making tool, I would think.
Anyway, thank you for all you do, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)! You're great!

Addendum:
Please let us arrange the pictures however we want
Please
I don't wanna keep having to delete and reupload
Not sure whether this has been suggested before, but it would be great to have a way to delete private message threads
I get a lot of random "hi" pms or similar trivial message from very new users, and I respond once and then we never interact again
And now there's a bunch of dead, useless threads in my inbox that I really don't want ^^;

Same
god i would love that. i have so many old rp threads and chats from back in the beginning of my time on the site that are dead. also, a way to delete them without opening them would be great, so i can avoid the mortifying ordeal of having to look at things my old self said
Just a few quick slices of life-type Ideas.
-Adding a Caption feature to the gallery to describe photos.
-^^ Like stated above, a way to delete private PMS and RP threads.
-An upload feature to forums that allows easier forum uploads of photos.
-Less of a limit on the description in the profile? (Im pretty sure Im the only one that has run into this.)
-Maybe a way to like a forum post?
Thats all that Ive thought of so far, but Ive had an account here for almost 3 years, and Im so happy to be here! Ill definitely keep using the site! I hope you guys can land a spot as a mobile app instead of just a website!

Are you talking about this Thingy

What if notebook.ai had an educational version? I recently told my teacher about notbook.ai and they said it would be great for creative writing and the like, but most schools wouldn’t allow it and usually block it because of the discussion feature. What if it was just the 4 free pages, documents and maybe even timelines with the discussions disabled?
What are you suggesting? We can already not discuss if we don’t want to.
@Althalosian-is-Ninjobama Yeah, but the kids will want to, while the schools won't want them to (Is what they're trying to say, I think)
Sounds like shutting down the discussion chats which… neBolósusse. It ain’t good.
That's…not really andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s problem though? Blocking or unblocking Notebook is on the school, not on andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer).

Especially since there's a lot more to the chats than just general. What's the point of making a "school-friendly" Notebook where kids can make characters but can't talk about/ask for critique of them?
Discussion is also not only used for general chat but for writers interacting characters and talking about things they've written. It doesn't make any sense to shut off those interactions between those writers lmao
Actually there is technically a "turn off all social features" feature for accounts already that I built for people who just wanted to use Notebook.ai as a tool to worldbuild with and didn't want to get distracted by chats, the stream, etc. I've toyed with the idea of trying to get schools on board with using Notebook.ai more often (with or without that feature automatically-on for students), but it's honestly a lot of work trying to sell schools on things (especially if those things cost anything!) and I'd much rather work on just trying to make the site better and better (and hope schools eventually find it so useful that they'll choose to use it on their own).
I've had a few teachers reach out though and ask about using it in their classroom and I love it when that happens! If you think the site would be useful for your teacher, do feel free to recommend it to them and/or have them reach out to me at andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)@indentlabs.com and I can help figure something out. :)
The following keyboard controls are supported across Notebook.ai. All keyboard controls are disabled when editing a document or notebook page.
