Okay, so, I want to do this with two other people. I would appreciate two characters per person, but one is perfectly okay.

The alien-hunting group of teenagers had decided to investigate Westwood Mannors, a series of secluded Michigan estates known for being crawling with strange activities. They had found nothing but hoaxes thus far and were at the point that they didn't care whether they caught pictures of ET or Mothman, so long as it wasn't a human in a suit. They chose a random, kinda dingy hotel and got to work. Right away, the owner seemed a little off, but they didn't suspect he was their guy. They should've, though..

Personality: Al is brash and strong. While calm, with a stern moral compass, she’s mean. She’s observant and quiet at times, learning things about people. She shows love by being rude, and shows no zero verbal mercy when given a reason to say something
Role: Investigator (her job is to scope out sites and see how dangerous it might be.)

Description: A 5’10 Mexican boy with a baby face. He has short, slightly curly brown hair and gentle freckles. He wears a lot of jeans and t shirts, usually paired with his favorite red varsity jacket

Personality: Marco is an energetic and happy guy. Very charismatic and carefree. He feels deeply, however, and is motivated primarily by emotions and the need to please. He’s a kind and empathetic person, to a fault more often than not
Crush: Had feelings for Allanah before finding out she was a lesbian. He’s moved on, but hasn’t really found anyone he was that captivated by

Ama is the collector, taking photos and samples of anything she finds. Laural is the skeptic, making sure everyone is being careful and cautious.

Description: 6', lanky build, black hair that he keeps pushed back and styled with gel. Wears skinny jeans and a plain button up usually, with colorful converse.

Personality: Outgoing and energetic when in public, but its more so an act, he likes being in a small group better.
Role: spokesperson

The 7 person car the group drove up the desolate, foggy Michigan road. They didn't have much money, so they picked a random, somewhat dingy motel near the woods they intended to search. The weather was bad, as it generally was this far into the woods if they were being fair. They pulled into a nearly empty dirt parking lot, taking a spot near the edge of the wood. There was only two other cars in the lot, a beat up Honda Civic and a Toyota that didn't look like it even worked anymore. As Simon turned the car off, him looked around "Damn.." he murmured. Al, who'd been sitting in the middle row beside Chris, let out a soft chuckle. "Damn is right…"

Laural shot them a look, grateful that Ama was sleeping. "Didn't I ask you guys to watch your language around Ama?" She asked, scowling.
Ama, at the sound of her name, groaned and shifted in her sleep. Ama, as the smallest, was in the middle seat. Laural glanced out the window. "Ugh. I repeat, this isn't a good idea."

Joseph rolled his eyes and hopped out of the car, "well, I'll go get our rooms sorted out, you guys-" he motioned at the others, "can bring stuff inside before the weather gets worse". He chuckled and rolled his eyes again as he made his way into the building to figure out the rooms.

Chris was shuffling one of his many decks of cards and opted to stay quiet, not even bothering to look out the window.

Al and Simon grinned at Laural in unison, like a pair of mischievous twins "We said we'd try, not that we promised" She jokingly retorted. Al got out of the back seat, opened the sliding door, and allowed Laural and Ama out. She smiled at Chris, the friend she had the softest spot for. Something about him and his cards just endeared the heck outta him to her. "C'mon man." She said to him.

Simon looked after Joseph for a moment before shaking his head and popping the trunk, getting out of the drivers seat and grabbing bags, with zero regard to whom they belong to. That was the way they always brought stuff into a hotel. Just get it all inside, we'll sort it out then

Laural picked Ama up, allowing her to stay asleep. She grabbed a couple of the smaller bags as well, heading in. She muttered something that sounded suspiciously like "twins are obnoxious."

Joseph approached the Innkeep with a bright smile and asked about the rooms, "Good afternoon, I am here with my friends, we need room for six people" He stated simply, drumming his fingers on the counter.

Chris pocketed his cards and made sure to get the last of the bags before following the others, scanning the area as he walked, this motel didnt have much information online, at least not that he found yet.

The innkeep was a frail-looking old man, short in stature with stringy gray hair. He gave what seemed to be intended as a friendly smile, but between his dingy yellow teeth and the general vibe the man had, was unsettling. "Sure thing. Our rooms are set up for two, so that'd be three, costing you $30 flat" He replied.

Shortly after, Al knocked the door open with her knee, carrying the majority of Joseph and Laural's bags, followed by Simon, who shot Joseph a bright smile as he walked by, carrying what looked like Ama and Chris's bags mixed with a few of his own. As per usual, Simon and Al brought luggage in with the mentality of 12-year-old boys attempting to carry all the groceries inside in one trip.

Laural groaned watching it. "Careful!" She called, carrying a couple of the smaller bags on her arms, with Ana on her back. She gently slid Ana on one of the beds, before quickly checking for bedbugs.
"The beds seem clear, at the very least."

Joseph pays the keep, gets the keys and leads them to the rooms, unlocking each of the doors before taking some of the bags out of Simon's hands without a word and taking them to the first room, so they could sort through them.

Chris closed and locked the car before heading inside, asking Al if she wanted help with the bags, as she had more than him.

Simon gave a soft smile after Joseph, sure the gesture was friendly, despite the way it warmed his heart. He propped the door open with a bag he was certain was his, knowing they'd need to go from room to room with some, and bags would have to be brought into their room.

Al smiled at Chris, telling him she was fine as she gently kicked the door open. Al had been a strong girl as long as Chris had known her, always bright and cheerful about carrying heavy things or doing physical labor. So much so her physical wellbeing could be called into question at times.
