Laural, while she had been invited, hadn't really wanted to go. Sure, these guys were her friends, but if aliens or monsters were real, they were dangerous, and she wasn't gonna die for these guys. But her little sister had insisted, and Ana was so hopeful, Laural couldn't say no. Laural had cleared it with the others, but still felt it was a bit awkward.
Ana loved the idea of otherworldly creatures, and was excited, vowing not to be a nuisance. Laural whispered to the others. "Do you mind if me and Ana have this room? Since she's already asleep. I'm good if someone else wants this one, but she might wake up if I move her again.."
Joseph handed her a key and then tossed one to Chris without a word. "Yeah, that was kinda my idea, all the rooms are the same anyway, just make sure you guys' bags are in there and the rest are not, and we can let her sleep"
Chris caught said key and looked at Joseph for a moment, trying to figure out the taller guy's thoughts. "So whos rooming with who otherwise?'
Simon looked up at Joseph almost immediately, before looking at the others. Al smiled at Chris as she replied "It's up to y'all, honestly. I don't mind roomin with you so long as Simon and Joseph don't mind roomin" She offered. Simon smiled back at Joseph, assuring the group he had no qualms with that set up
Laural separated her and Ama's bags from the rest, unpacking a couple sets of clothes and toiletries. She was a bit socially awkward, unsure if she should stay quiet or not. Instead, she grabbed a couple of Joseph's bags, ready to help move things to the correct rooms.
Joseph smiled back at Simon, "in that case, we can take the last room, I only have a few bags, not many supplies needed to be the extrovert of the group" He teased, aiming the tease at all of the others as he grabbed Simons bags and walked to the last room.
Chris had a lot of stuff, books and a laptop and other materials he need for research, so he was glad he didnt have to move his stuff again, deciding to help carry stuff to the other rooms before he began to unpack his stuff.

Simon and Al both smiled, finishing the sorting of the groups items. The bulk of things that were brought went into their respective rooms anyway.
Simon shut the door behind him, beginning to unpack his things, consisting mostly of clothes, first Aid, and weapons. Allanah did the same in her own room, smiling at Chris. "Learn any new tricks?" She asked brightly as she tucked her favored weapon, a hatchet she took on all her missions, beside her bed, handle up as to give it the appearance of a baseball bat at first glance, which Simon actually had.

Laural had weapons, of course, but they were just as much for self defense against humans as they were for monsters. She had pepper spray, a meteor bracelet that could be used as a flail, and a small knife. Ama had a slingshot with several types of ammo. Silver marbles, small stones, and hollow ceramic bubbles. Laural stuck most of them in a drawer, but her pepper spray stayed under her pillow.
Joseph unpacked his stuff, unlike the others, he carried a pistol tucked against his back, hidden. But he set it in the nightstand drawer, he didnt use it unless someone's life was in danger, but liked to keep it within reach.
Chris smiled a bit and pulled out a special deck of cards he had been working on, he handed one to Al. They looked normal enough, but the edges were lined with a light, yet sharp metal. "If I had a target, I'd show you what I can do" he had been practicing with them for months, not that anyone knew, as he didnt want to tell nor show anyone until he mastered it.
Simon laid down after setting his steel Louisville slugger beside his bed. He looked up at the ceiling with his hand beneath his head. That'd been a long drive.
Al took the cards with a raised eyebrow. "Oh really?" She hummed as examined the deck. She immediately cut her thumb on the edge and smirked, looking back up at Chris. "I can imagine, man"
Laural quicky fell asleep, breathing lightly and deeply. Ama hadn't stirred, still fast asleep.
Joseph sat down on his bed with his back against the headboard and his arms crossed loosely, sure he could be social and stuff when needed, but behind closed doors he liked to relax in silence, besides, he had no plans to sleep.
Chris frowned and pulled a band-aid out of his pocket to hand to her, "I sometimes grab the wrong deck and cut myself" he explained as to why he had them in his pocket, putting the cards up and climbing into bed.
Simon fell asleep quickly. The time spent between him and Joseph was always comfortable, whether they were conversating or sitting in silence.
Al's smirk softened into a gentle smile as she took the band-aid. Chirs was always one of the first to worry about her well-being, generally before she did. She took the band-aid and applied it. "Thanks." She replied. "Show me a trick" She asked. She loved his magic tricks

Chris smiled softly and showed her some card tricks, most of which used a slight of hand like skill, he sat on his bed as he did, he had a few decks of cards he kept on him. "Think we should head to sleep soon? Lots to do tomorrow"
"Yeah, for sure" she murmured, lying down on her stomach, her head resting on her crossed arms as she watched him "Just wanted to see a trick" she said with a soft smile as she pulled the chain on her bedside lamp
Ama woke first, searching through the drawers, getting dressed and grabbing a backpack and her slingshot. She checked Laural's phone to see if the others had texted. They hadn't, probably still asleep. Laural knew better than to wander off on her own, or to wake Laural up, but she was so bored. She sat on her bed, swinging her legs, waiting for someone else to wake up.
Joseph was sitting up, having not slept, nor moved all night.
Chris woke up to his phone vibrating, his alarm. He turned it off and went to get a quick shower.
Simon stirred and rolled over, giving Joseph a small, sleepy smile. "G'morning.." She murmured
Al woke about 20 minutes before Chris's alarm went off. She was tying her combat boots on her bed, and looked up when the alarm sounded
