Hello!
Hi! Okay how do you want to start this just jumping in?
I guess so.
(Okie)
Maria walked out of the airport and was instantly greeted by clear blue skies and plalm tress she was happy to finally be out of London she needed a break a breath of fresh air and this was it her chance to have a relaxing summer and forget about the stress that was back at home
Marcus sighed as he walked. No real destination in mind, he just needed to clear his head. Things had been a little stressful despite being in such a beautiful place. Half of his problems seemed to follow him regardless of where he went.
She walked down the sidewalk looking down at her phone with the directions to the bungalow she rented as she started to look up she ran directly into a man walking past her "oh! I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention. "
Marcus looked up when he felt the bump, grabbing on immediately. Considering how tall and broad-shouldered he was, he didn't want the other person to fall. “No. It's ok. I was a little distracted myself.” he apologized as he looked at the woman.
She looked up at him with an apologetic smile on her face "you wouldn't happen to know your way around this place would you? "
“Depends on where you want to go.” he admitted with a slight chuckle as he gently let go of her. “Let me guess, you're on vacation?” he smiled.
She rubbed her arm and laughed "yeah I rented a bungalow but these directions are confusing I have no idea where I'm going. "
“May I see them?” he asked, knowing what she meant. It's like the locals deliberately tried to get the tourists lost. “And, if you don't mind me guessing… Are you from England? Sorry, it's the accent.” he quickly apologized.
She handed him her phone which had the directions on it "Oh here sorry about that, and yes u an I was born there no need to apologize . " she said and smiled softly
He smiled brightly back as he accepted the phone. “It's alright. And I’m relieved that I didn't offend you with my guess.” he admitted as he looked at the directions. “Ah. I know how to get here. Would you like to take the scenic route or the direct way?”
"Oh no you didn't offend me, and I wouldn't mind the scenic route maybe I could look around a bit before we get there. "
“Alright. This way then. By the way, my name's Marcus… Though some just call me Marc.” he said, finally introducing himself. “Do you need any help with your bags?”
"Nice to meet you Marcus I'm Maria, I should be fine I only brought to bags because I didn't really have a lot of beach clothing. " she said gripping the strap on her over the shoulder bag and her beach bag that appeared to be empty and let out an embarrassed chuckle
Marcus raised a brow slightly at the sight of the bags but just nodded. “I see. Not a lot of beach opportunities in England, right? At least, you'll have a chance to buy more here.” he said a little more cheerfully.
"This is my first time leaving London. So yeah that was my plan. " she said a little more embarrassed now at how unprepared she was
“Oh, don't worry about it. You’ll have plenty of chances to get beach clothes here.” Marcus assured her, not judging her. “Besides, you're here to have a good time and to relax. Not listen to some silly American boy who's looking for the same thing.”
"I'll probably try and find some stores after I get situated. "
“Good idea.” he nodded as he turned a corner. “So, how long will you be in town?” he asked, just trying to keep up conversation.
"I'm here for the summer just thought I would change it up a bit. "
“Fair enough. And the summers here are nice. A little hot sometimes but still nice.” he agreed.
"Mostly all I see is rain this will be a nice change of scenery. " she said sounding a little hopeful
