Maria ran to a couple different stores and might have bought a little more than she needed that that wasn't important she was mostly looked forward to tonight so she had to pick out something cute she made it "home" and decided to start getting ready she already had a bit of a tan so she wasn't shelf consciousness about showing skin she picked out a cute dress and strappy sandals her brownish blonde hair went down to chest with a wavy style as she looked at herself in the mirror "I think this should do." she thought to herself smiling
Marcus had a couple of errands to run before he finally made it back. He decided to take a fast shower since his short sandy blond hair would dry quickly but it would lay a bit nicer than his usual, almost spiky, style. It took him a little longer than normal for him to pick out something to wear before he eventually chose some dark shorts with a nice but simple light green shirt that complimented his eyes and showed off his muscles. Though he was wearing some swimming shorts underneath.
She gave herself one more look in mirror before heading out of the door feeling satisfied with her look and started heading towards the club feeling a little nervous
Marcus made sure to arrive a little earlier so he could make sure he got a good table before Maria showed up. But he was nervous. Even though this wasn’t really a date, it was the first time in a while that he’d been out with a pretty girl in public.
By the time Maria got there it was about 9:50 and she was already looking around to see if she could find Marcus anywhere
Marcus smiled and waved Maria over when he saw her looking his way.
The tropical theme that the tiki torches outside showed, certainly continued in the bar. That I would describe if I wasn't drawing a blank on how to…
Maria smiled and waved back walking over to Marcus "hey! "
“Hi.” Marcus smiled back, standing as she approached. “Glad you could make it.”
"So am I this place looked great, so do you. " she said with a soft smile
“Thank you. You look very nice yourself.” he smiled back, offering her a seat.
"Oh thank you. " she was blushing a bit while taking the seat he had offered her
“I’m guessing that you had fun shopping, then?” he teased playfully as he sat down across from her.
"Let's just say my wallet is a lot lighter than it was when I arrived. '' she said sounding a little embarrassed
“I'm sure. But you don't have to worry about tonight. Anything you want is on me.” he smiled assuringly.
"Oh I couldn't do that. " she said with a small smile
“No, it's ok, I don't mind. Plus, I'm the one who recommended this place. It's the least I can do.”
"Are you sure? " she was felt a little embarrassed that someone she didn't know was going to be paying for tonight it's not that it was a problem she's just used to it only being her
“I’m sure.” he nodded, smiling gently. It may have been a while since he went out like this, but he was used to paying. And it seemed rude to make her pay.
"Well thank you I appreciate that. ' she said softly with a gentle smile
“No problem.” he smiled back. He wouldn't say it out loud, yet, but he was already thinking about how cute Maria look when she smiled like that.
Maria was actually having a pretty good time she was enjoying Marcus's company she was looking as the specific features of his face now that she was paying attention he was pretty handsome
Marcus raised a brow slightly as she stared at him and did his best not to blush. Though the low fire-like lighting of their surroundings probably helped hide it. It wasn't dark in here by any means, but if this were a date the ambiance could be called romantic.
She looked away from him blushing a bit "Sorry."
“It's alright.” he said, clearing his throat as his cheeks finally started turning pink. “Uhh… Would you like a drink?”
"Uh sure… Is there anything you would recommend? "
“Well, it depends on what you like, but they have a good variety here.” he said, handing her the drink menu.
She accepted the menu from Marcus and smiled at him before skimming through it "I think I might get a margarita. ''
“Can't go wrong with a classic.” he hummed with a nod before glancing around for a waiter. “And they actually have some good food here too. One of my favorites is the coconut shrimp.” he admitted.
"I've never eaten shrimp before.. "
“Oh. Uh… Would you like to try it?” he asked, already thinking of other options in case she didn't want to.
