I’ve been hankering after some RPing for some time. I desire one that lasts for a bit, since all mine are dead it seems. I have a new, rather undeveloped world that I would be happy to explore with someone else. Any invention I have the right to retain and I will be selective about who joins. Hopefully this doesn’t turn you off from joining.
The world might be considered African mythology based, but I am afraid I know little about the many African mythologies, so I’m working with more of a vibe rn ig.
It’s gonna be a simple quest, a journey. No romance, as I prefer to work with genuine friendships. Plot discussion and exposition will commence after acceptance.

It's been a while sense I've done an RP they kept dying on me. I don't know how you feel about my RP and writing style (which has evolved a lot sense last the last RP I did) but If It's alright with you this sounds enjoyable and I'd like to join.

Yup, Not my best work here but everything most recent is for NaNoWriMo and my book for that is the wrong genre

“Nice to meet you Scale, Sorry you had to deal with Her Majesty alone for so long.” Scale nodded, too tired to form a proper response, her eye’s focused on Killian’s wings, they were stunning, bat-like in structure, dark brown, maybe even black .
“You could just ask and I’d let you touch them.”
Scale snapped her eye’s back to look into Killian's, amusement and a hint of curiosity in the dark eye’s. “Feana right?” She asked, Killian gasped, over exaggerating the sound, throwing a hand over his chest in mock offense.
“How dare she, obviously I'm the most human one could ever human.” Killian responded sarcasm laced throughout his voice. Killian was Tall, very tall, dark gray skin covered with patches of white freckles. He had light hair, blonde, silvery almost white, he had recently gotten his hair cut by the looks of it, his undercut still crisp. His eye’s were unnerving, almost entirely a dark black, when the orange light from the fire hit them just right she thought she could see flecks of blue in their depths. “No, I’m Feana, a rather good looking one I’ll have you know, even a Wenad would be jealous of my looks.”
Azizia scoffed, “Get a Mirror and Get a room.”

So some worldbuilding knowledge. Fate is the first and eldest. Though in maturity she is in her early teens. She brews the souls of all sentient creatures, sometimes in her drum, and carries them around in a hand wagon. She has a bad habit of mixing different soul potions which can lead to monsters like Agahsi the Smoke Snake or creatures like the Mor’yudr, the frogman that controls death. (He gave Death (a pale man with white feathers and wings and a very angular face) a magic ring that enslaved him to the Mor’yudr.) Agahsi and the Mor’yudr are eternal enemies after the Mor’yudr stole the magic ring from the Smoke Snake. The Mor’yudr challenged him to a game where if he won he got the ring, but if Agahsi won, he could keep the Mor’yudr’s soul. Then he just stole the ring while Agahsi was distracted, though he forever bears a lighter scar on his head from where Agahsi burned him with his tail.
The first god Fate created was the Star Smith. He made the stars first, and the moon, and then with Fate’s help made the Night Spirits and the Sky Giants.
I’ll give you more in a sec but I’m gonna eat some. Any questions so far?

@Relsey-TheElder

Great! We have this book of African myths that I grew up on so I saw that part of the description and was immediately interested. No questions, Just going to take some notes, I'll let you know if I have any.

@Relsey-TheElder

It's just called "African Folk tales" retold by A. Ceni, It's a children's book, Wouldn't have taken so long to answer that but I had to go find the book. It has 18 different stories in it, a very fun short read.

The Night Spirits are bodiless, tall and pure black. They have humanoid outlines, but are not bound to that shape. They can only appear above ground after the sun sets and before the sun rises so they spend most of their time in their underground caves and palaces. Though they rarely speak to humans without being asked, they know many things and are occupied with human affairs. They live longer than men, but when they die reincarnate as ignua EEN-yoo-ah, which are small black lions with the noses of elephants and tails of snakes. They too can only appear after dark but also vanish from the world in sunlight (though they do not die). They are drawn to strong emotions, sadness over lost love especially.
The Sky Giants are elemental giants that control rain and lightning. It is their job to hold up the sky. When they die, which is rare since their lifespan is hundreds of years, they turn into mountains which may or may not be living.

A god I forgive to mention is the Sun Lion. Haven’t come up with much for him except Fate made him and he made the world and the sun, obviously.

There’s a monster that looks like a brittle star, but also a bit like an earthworm. It can cast illusions to look like things it isn’t not, though they can be seen through by those that know. It feeds on fear and flesh. It is fast moving and strong, though it can be cut through easily. It becomes stronger and tougher the more it is feared. It has a head, though as all five arms look identical, it is hard to cut off. It also bores into creatures to control when it wants to travel fast.

So like we thinking a magical sickness a normal sickness, or like a wound they were delt that is slowly corrupting their body, (Think frodo and the morgul blade ) or because souls are a big deal, I mean really big deal in a lot of African myth, something is slowly trying to eat their soul so they wouldn't even have like an afterlife they'd just be gone gone forever, and their body could then become a vessel for some sinister force.

Or there is the chronic illness that also works, like they were just born with a weak body and they're trying to find a way to make them healthy, lots of good options.

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

Exactly.
Other bit of lore. Meaning yeeted out after she got offended when a woman tried farming for the first time instead of trusting her to provide all for life. This allowed darkness to enter the world, but it also gave humans more free will and ability to control their destinies.
