@Relsey-TheElder
That do make sense and, yeah I assumed, I'll fill out a basic template then.

What age range do you want for them?
Late teens early 20s
Name: Liu
Age: 19
Looks: Dark skin, deep eyes, small hands, long, thick hair he often ties up.
Personality: He’s a quiet soul, not really fond of crowds, though he gets along with most people pretty well. He has few friends, but takes his friendships very seriously.
More will be added later
Name: Azi
Age: 18
Looks: Dark skin, Warm brown eyes, Tall and very fit, shoulder length dark hair that he usually wears in a half up style with a few braids.
Personality: Azi is very outgoing, he likes people especially kids, He’s the kind of guy everyone knows and considers a friend but he has very few people he considers close friends. He feels emotions at the extremes, a bit dramatic. Doesn’t like to worry people. He likes fixing things, he thinks it’s fun, He’ll break something so he can fix it. Lots of energy, sunshine boy.
Liu loves Azi best of his friends and thinks of him a bit like a younger brother, though he often follows his lead in public. He thinks Azi is a bit excessive, and is prone to dryly criticizing him for his impulsive actions, but is quick to apologize with a hug or hair ruffle when he hurts Azi’s feeling.
Love the dynamic already
You wanna add more or should we progress to plot?
Actually best do a relationship bit for Azi
Azi thinks Liu needs to live life a little more but is the first to defend him when someone else points it out, Liu is his closest friend, one of the few he actually considers a friend and he tends to lean on Liu for emotional support whenever he cracks. He has a tell when he's stressed out, he'll slump his head on (Anyone he really cares about but at this point it's basically just) Liu's shoulder for a few seconds, not to long, just long enough to recharge before moving forward.
Alright brilliant let's set up their world a little bit. Best think about their town (decided not to go with a village for once) and figure out his sickness. What are you leaning towards? Might clear my mind on the matter.
An Unknown illness, but untreatable by means that they or any doctor around them are aware of. Perhaps something that could have been prevented by Liu for more of that darling angst. Knowing how much of a loveable idiot Azi is he probably ate something he shouldn't have that ended up to be a poison that's slowly killing him or something.
As for the town, it depends on if you want this to be more modern or historical. Either way I think having it be a Trade or Merchant town would be interesting because they'd be surrounded with stories and such of far off places and legends of something that could cure this illness.
I'm not liking him eating something deadly. Kinda wanna go with magic now. But I do like the Liu's fault part.
OK If it's something magical we can have it be like they got into a fight and Azi ran off some magical being got to him or, Liu was being spacy and they got attacked and Azi took a blow for him or something.
Alright cool
Alright I’m back. How about Azi goes off into the forest to look for wood spirits and disappears. He invites Liu to come but he’s not down but bc of that Liu knows where to look. Azi is asleep w blurry memory as to what happened. Possibly the wood spirits put a spell on him but I’m thinking a Dark Being
I like this plan, sounds good to me
Cool. I'll start and you can have Azi interrupt
Sounds good
Sunlight brightly lit the porch of Liu’s house, making the wood beneath his hands burn with a heat just shy of too hot, creeping around his body with a familiar sleepy pressure. He considered dozing off. Sleep was good. The sun would be setting soon, quickly falling from its precarious zenith. Work was done for now, vegetables harvested for the next few days. Soon he would start on another irrigation trench, praise the water spirit. A new garden would grow, full of squash and melons, all overshadowed by the green shoots he had planted for their protection. Somewhere an insect shrilly hummed, the earth released its dark, moist odor. Liu’s eyes slowly closed as he leaned back, not to sleep. Just to rest. For a moment only.
"Do you see where the sun is in the sky right now?"
Azi's bright voice broke through the calm. Shattering a previously serine moment as he jumped onto the porch crouching next to Liu, blocking the sunlight. He had had an eventful day of helping a group of kids chase down a cat, with the scratches to prove it. In the end he was victorious and the cat was now back in the arms of a loving child. The cat did not seem to share the same opinion hence the scratches. He was sure there was something he was supposed to do today. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but Liu knew everything.
(I am so sorry, I could have sworn I hit post earlier)
A noise broke into Liu’s head at the same time a shadow covered his closed eyelids.
“What?”
He glanced over Azi’s mildly bloody form. “What happened?”
Azi glanced down at his arms then back at Liu,
"Oh, the scratches, there was this cat, and Dayo, you know the little one , think she's Keon's little sister, any way her cat ran off, she and the other kids were chasing it around. I tripped one of them on accident, not my fault, kid wasn't watching where he was going, and so I helped them get the cat." He explained with a shrug.
A brief smile flickered on Liu’s face. “I see. And to what purpose are you here. To enjoy my company? You could have done that well enough as I slept. If it is a meal you wish for, you have to wait until I make it.”
Azi's eye's lit up at the mention of food, especially Liu's cooking, "Food, food is good," He said before pausing, mentally scolding himself for getting distracted from his main goal once again. He slapped both sides of his face holding his head between them squishing his cheeks in an effort to keep his mind on track. "Nope, Not gonna get distracted. Do you know what I was supposed to do today? You know instead of chasing down a cat. I'm fairly certain I was supposed to do something, was it important? Was it market day? Should I be in town right now?" He rambled slightly, as always, having trouble stopping the words once they started.
Liu rolled his eyes good naturedly. “Market was two days ago. You just didn’t want to come. Hunting in the woods I recall.”
He turned inside. “You are welcome to dinner. It might go faster if a certain bird settled down long enough to help.” Liu didn’t turn to see if he followed. He didn’t look back to watch the sun another’s second. Even though they had hours and days, Lui never looked back.
