America in the Future

A futuristic world that still has some of today's lasting impressions.

Specifically a small town called Ashwood where the lab is located. A small town in America. It's in the future (not that far in the future).

The present is this universe's history.

We have recently discovered mutations, "unusuals," and "unhumans." The Unhuman Finding Organizations, or UFO, categorizes these beings and keeps them in check.

Same as Earth because it's on Earth.

The UFO has technology like microscopic brain wave processors that can notify them when people like Wren are using their psychic abilities. They easily have microscopic cameras and mics that can are undetectable.

Small towns like Ashwood are still like today, except with a little more tech. But everyone still knows each other. They still farm and stuff, it's not like they have robots that do everything. They're just a little more advanced and have developed new things.
