She believes other people's opinions matter more than her own.
She cares too much what other people think, although she acts like she doesn't. She sometimes goes overboard on her girly girl talk, but that's only because she thinks that's what will make her seem popular, instead of talking about things she likes.
People liking her
At first she seems like your typical female teen. She likes boys, her phone, and drama. But why she hangs out with the "nerd group" (Wren, Harper, Aubrey, Aiden, and Luke) is because that's the stuff she's really into. But she overrides her passions to look cool in other people's eyes. She cares too much about what she looks like.
She's a girly girl, meaning she talks about drama, boys, and stuff like that.
High School
June 2002
When Elle was 14 she was approached by Piper, Harper's sister. Elle was a unusually pretty girl, but she was classified as a nerd. Piper realized how pretty she was and saw the potential. Piper wanted to help herself, not Elle. She became friends with her, although enemies would be a more appropriate name. She taught Elle how to get the boy's attention, how to apply makeup, and how to start drama. She also got Elle into some bad things that got her in trouble, like drinking, smoking, etc. Elle was so into it by the time she was 15 it was like she was a different person. But one tragic night changed that. Piper was driving her and a girl home after a party, and they were all drunk. Piper obviously shouldn't have driven, but nobody stopped her. They got into a car crash and the other girl died. This changed Elle's perspective on things, and changed herself. She came back to her old "nerd" group with Harper, Aubrey, Luke, and Aiden. They accepted her apology and helped her get back on track, although she still has lingering affects of Piper.
Her phone
Catholic, but doesn't really take her religion seriously.
