Broken Timerands
The Broken Timerands was once a picturesque, universal realm where seemingly film reels of time can be observed from the heavens above, and a quick, natural method of transportation is primarily used to teleport to a particular place at will, with the use of the mind. It was greatly populated by elves per region, but now, it has drastically changed after it was cleaved by a vague, supernatural entity -- later titled as the "Demon of Time" -- that had altered reality to tear the timerands apart. Broken Timerands is an unspeakable, celestial realm with a high concentration of baffling, spatial anomalies. Most of these anomalies in the realm are generally unstable and extramundane. An instance of this is the region, Universe River, an occult river lending a universal sight via reflection of a random vicinity or location in Fallentin -- what it reflects can be a galaxy, outlandish location, an unorthodox system of civilization, and rarely, a familiar realm. And an instance of an unstable anomaly is the inconsistent region, Shifestral, an unpopulated, reality-altering, spatial anomaly that shifts any chunk(s) of a location in Fallentin, and temporarily set it as the environment of the region -- this interval lasts for approximately 24 hours -- once the interval ends, the cycle repeats once again. According to its history, in the past, during its directable state, people had used it to switch expanses at will and search for the atmosphere, climate, or environment they sought or voted for. Later on, after certain incidents occurred, Shifestral has been thereforth avoided and feared ever as it lost its function to receive directions and orders from people; properly manipulated.
Other than the two spatial, anomalous regions, is the fascinating polar biome, Shardra, the only ordinary region in Broken Timerands, where civilization is essentially isolated to avoid unpredictable events, precarious properties, unknown effects, and uncertainly vile influences of the outer regions. Past certain classified incidents are the origins of the inhabitants' fear and unwillingness to ever step foot upon the surface(s) of the other regions, and reasons for fleeing to Shardra and declaring it as thereforth their kingdom. Here in Shardra, people use shiver-suppressing lotions or inhibitors for short -- containing a mixture created from special, revered herbs -- to naturally generate or build up a soothing, burning sensation deceiving the brain into believing that the arctic cold is neither a threat nor a problem to the body, hence, shivering would be temporarily suppressed for quite a while and grants one to proceed into the wintry aspects of Shardra. The herbs are fundamentally farmed just before the borders of Shardra, as soil doesn't exist in Shardra; however, even if it did, or was manually delivered or brought to Shardra, the temperature would be the main problem for the herbs to tranquilly perform growth. Nevertheless, energymans are currently attempting to invent an appliance that will emit heat for plants in order for it to continue to grow despite the extremely low temperature, while craftsmen and blacksmiths are patiently pending for the functional appliance as an opportunity to profit by collaborating and designing it. Whoever invents the appliance first would make a fortune, and go down in the history of Broken Timerands as one of the greatest inventors to be born in the realm. An additional fact about these herbs is that there are counterfeit products of them. A simple way of telling it is when the applied part begins to feel itchy or nothing else but itch without the main ideal effect of the substance.
With that being said, they aren't aware of heaters ready invented, which is the appliance they've been striving for to perform agriculture in Shardra. Unfortunately, rarely any foreign people at all would have luck by their side to reach Understone Village. Hence, they generally don't gain information at all coming from other worlds, from cultures and technology to knowledge and efficiency. For that reason, it implies that people from Broken Timerands accept and venerate technology as means to enhance the quality of their lives, and reduce the struggle and burden they've been enduring. Performing a simple analysis about the source of their determination implies that people in Broken Timerands prefer and specialize in medicine and therapeutic. The union sign is a form of honor and regard, typically done as a greeting or to display a friendly gesture to one or another. It's performed by lightly tapping a clenched fist's back outwards with one's own. It isn't performed on foreigners as people considered it to indicate something enraging or offensive in their culture, generally to prevent misconceptions that may lead to unwanted conflicts or situations; however, and of course, foreigners may perform it as they are willing to do so, and esteem the culture. Another gesture called masken is performed as a formal greeting, esteem, and regard towards a special, superior, and/or revered person. It appears as the right hand overlapping across the left eye of the face.
Understone Village may be dreary and wearisome nearly throughout a year, but that would be changed as there is one spirited, vigorous day that people celebrate every year. Honorlight Day is a lively event yearly celebrated to commemorate the departure of another member of the Great Wielders, Daheo, and gift people a blissful time to throw parties and feasts without any concern for their occupation -- the only time where the village is energized and the people are refreshed. People generally sell fish and bird meat obtained in the Universe River, at a relatively decent price, which rises during Honorlight Day as it grants benefits for business. Nets and spears are other common items that are sold in the village since people primarily hunt for food in the Universe River, that is, in which, rich in life.
