Sebion’s universe
Our universe, but in the far future. Lots of technology I talk about here is actually being developed(fabric that filters air, replicators)
Sci-Fi
2120: plague; outbreak of Covid variant 37, pandemic
2220: plague; second coming of Smallpox, attempted use of bio-weapon backfired on U.S., pandemic.
2230: WWIII; U.S. claims most of North America. Alaska becomes an independent country, full of American, Canadian, and Russian immigrants.
2320: plague;
There was a mission about two hundred years ago when some crazy earth scientist decided to send 5 rovers to Sebion to investigate the planet. Each rover had a specific purpose. All of them died in a storm. Or so everyone thought until about 50 years ago, when the only surviving rover sent up some information. He was sent to look at the dirt. He found himself in a cave, which is why he wasn’t destroyed in a storm, and had started digging. And while he was digging, he had found remnants of technology. Similar shards of technology had been discovered hundreds of years ago on so many different planets, but the technology was all thousands of years old. But here’s the catch; the tech on Sebion was more recent than any of the other ones. Sure, it was still thousands of years old, but the other ones, even the most recent ones, were tens of thousands of years old. That sparked up enough curiosity that people started trying to get to Sebion more, they wanted to learn more, u know what i mean, people are motivated enough that they start colonizing Sebion, except the goal is not to live there, it’s to figure out what the deal is worth the tech they keep finding. So they go, they fortify and widen the tunnels that the robot found and built, move in, and the robot keeps digging, only difference is that every now and then, he gets a tune up, and humans come to check on him. Other civilizations also were like, “there’s stuff on that planet? We’re going too!” And so that’s why there are other colonies on the planet, each of the different colonies made to accommodate different species.
The thing is, the robot found the thing 50 years ago, and people are starting to lose interest. So now the colonies on Sebion are being used as remote experiment places. They test potentially hazardous stuff there, but only the POTENTIALly, if they know for a fact it could harm the people there, they don’t do it.
2340: tsunami wrecks Nome, Whales(Alaska, not the country), Teller, Alaska, and Lavrentiya Russia big time. Millions die. Russia, Japan, Korea, china, U.S., and What’s left of Canada all send emergency teams and help rebuild the towns on Alaska’s west coast and Russia’s east coast. It’s described as the most compassionate event in human history.
2420: plague; rabies variant, conspiracy theorists say it was a zombie apocalypse. Outbreak went from rat to dog to person. Used the method of first coming of smallpox vaccination in Africa to cure it. Epidemic.
I read a science magazine and thought to myself, “i wonder what a world what this technology is common would be like?”
Same as ours, except we can now go faster than light speed, via small man made worm holes that spaceships make and take apart to travel.
None. Wait, wait- science is just magic with an explanation, so ~science~
Super far into the future. They have 3D printers that print food, clothes, biological tissue, you name it. The were first developed in the early 21st century (look it up, we can 3D print food, houses, and biological tissue), and were further developed since. They are named replicators after the devices in Star Trek. There are replicators in almost every room.
There are devices that are like cellphones, except mostly transparent, and they also store replicator recipes on them. You can go on the internet to buy more recipes, or you can make your own. You take your tablet, touch it to the replicator, select the recipe you want, and that’s what the replicator makes.
My science magazines, illuminate files, the Martian, modern technology, tumblr posts, Star Trek.
