Blessings- Received from gods.
Some people are born blessed. Some can perform prayers and sacrifices to receive blessings. All blessings are temporary except for the blessed born and blessed objects.

Blessed born- People born with blessings are the most powerful. This is most common for the tertiary and secondary gods. People born blessed by primary gods are very rare.

Prayers- Performing a prayer requires no sacrifice but takes time. Prayers are also the easiest way for an object to be blessed. People often pray for blessings to perform difficult tasks. Tertiary and secondary gods often require specific hand motions and chants. Prayers to primary gods are all but impossible in modern times. They can only work if spoken in an ancient language that is long forgotten.

Sacrifices- The most common form of blessing is received via sacrifice. Sacrifices are performed similarly to prayers. (Most of the gods requiring the same motions and chants they'd require for a prayer) They request a portion of the god's power in exchange for a sacrifice. The personal value of the sacrifice determines its value as a sacrifice.

Blessed items operate exactly the same as prayers, except its the item being blessed.
