Let's Try This Again
Realistic fiction (Sort of)
How would different relationships grow if everything was set in a different situation?
Phineas Clove had family drama at home because of this he bullied Atticus Steward quite a bit. Verbally and sometimes physically from third grade until high school.
Things changed. Once they entered high school, Atticus made a claim to power and decided to get back at Phin by bullying him in return, particularly about his weakness of being color blind and his social insecurities.
As a result things escalated. One day the two had a run in on stone bridge at a park. Phin's little brother Nicholas was present, so was Atticus' sister ( Adelaide Steward ) and his best friend ( Sadie Frost ).
Phin made a verbal attack against Atticus and in return Atticus pushed him. It continued until Phin drew his pocket knife. They struggled. Sadie interfered and her arm was cut with the blade.
Nicholas made an attempt to end the fighting as it neared dangerously towards the edge of the side of the bridge.
Phin tried to hit Atticus and instead knocked his brother off balance. Sending the child over the edge of the railing.
Sadie grabbing Phin's shirt as he leaned over the edge was the only thing keeping him from following his brother into the rushing river.
Adelaide ran away to call the authorities whilst the other children followed the river to it's end where they found the boy's body. Nicholas had been killed and Phin accepted full responsibility.
The police gathered full statements from each of the children in order to piece together the situation. They found that the best idea for punishment was to give them the mercy of erasing their minds.
Rosa Moreno was assigned to live with them for a few weeks to make sure they have forgotten about the whole story.
This time around they choose to be friends and none are the wiser that they once despised each other.
Their minds are fuzzy, but with the help of Rosa's stolen notes the children manage to piece together exactly what happened.
Either slightly more advance, or people are just more willing to test it out on people
