Public schooled into elementary

His father died shortly after he was born and his mother was never fully there for him and his brother.
He acted like a normal child.
He was mildly aware of his brother's drama at school, but never involved until the incident in the park.
It was recounted by witnesses. Phineas and Atticus ran into each other on a stone bridge and began a verbal argument.
It escalated into being physical until Nicholas feared for both boys safely.
He stepped in and was pushed aside. He stepped in again and a misses punch struck his side, knocking him off balance and toppling him over the edge of the bridge and into the rocky water below. Later investigation states that he didn't even survive the fall.
