When Earth became inhabitable scientists sent a select few intelligent minds and thousands of young criminals and children to drop onto the new planet. The planet, however, was plagued with radiation. The radiation gave the children and criminals powers that no normal human should be able to have. Powers like fire, water, earth, ice, darkness, light, angel summoning, demon summoning, invisibility, etc. These powers were passed on through the generations making a new, superhuman race.
