Zombie Apocalypse madness

Society has collapsed after the breakout of a mysterious fungus. The world is in utter chaos as the undead crawl over its surface.
Small groups of humans persist to survive, hoping to one day be able to live peacefully again

The world was pretty normal up to the point that several people became extremely violent due to a mutated version of Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, a fungus that normally zombifies ants.
It has been months since the first examples were hospitalized and since that time many have fallen victim to the fungus one way or another.

Powerplants have stopped working and most gas stations have either been plundered or destroyed. The explosion is very effective against large hordes of zombies.
Most items could still be made to work if one was to find a power source for it. Cat videos and other things on the internet are still working.

The group of main characters started out at the Morrowbay assylum and are wandering the planes in search of food, drinks, medicine, fun and things to destroy.
