Lagina
A village on an island by the same name, located north of the primary land mass and the city of Jaderose
Lagina existed before the Gods returned to Eralon, an island of just a few thousand people. They were always rather insular, tolerating visitors and outsiders but only so long as they stayed in the village and never allowing them to explore the island itself. After the return of the Gods the villagers were not too keen on being ruled by someone else, so the Earth Goddess met with the elders and spoke to them to find out the truth. Most living there enjoyed their simplistic life and didn't want outsiders coming in and trampling the natural beauty that existed on their island, which was something the Earth Goddess could respect. So she made them a deal; they could continue to self-govern for the most part and would be left alone, and all she asked in return was that they keep up preserving their land.
Generations of elders have kept this promise, teaching the next generation about preservation and avoiding modernity as much as possible. Some are always lured off by the promise of something better on the mainland or elsewhere in the world, but the population remains steady regardless.
