The Event/Backstory - Elves

The elven/human alliance was dissolved.

The humans expanded their kingdoms and cut down trees in the forest.

Once upon a time, the elves and humans had a strong alliance. The humans wanted to expand their kingdoms and began to cut down the trees in the forest, both for expansion and building materials. This greatly upset the elves, causing them to withdraw further into the forest and withdrew from their alliance with the humans. The humans soon saw the damage they were causing, and they stopped destroying the forest. By this point, the elves had created a realm deep in the forest called Ankia. The humans went back to the elves and begged for them to join the alliance. Some of the elves were willing, but most of them declined. The few elves that had forgiven the humans were banished from Ankia and chose to settle in Elven Falls. These elves discovered that they could harness the life of plants for magic.

Some elves are willing to pursue another alliance with the humans and live in Elven Falls. Other elves are strictly opposed to it, and live in Ankia.
