Angel
Guardians
Immortal beings that exist only to ensure their covenants can die happy.
Most angels are small-ish in appearance and youthful; the oldest of angels may appear in their early twenties.
All ranges.
Generally no taller than 5'6".
Hair is always white, and eyes are always heterochromatic.
Angels are rare ethereal beings who are naturally white-haired, with heterochromatic eyes. One eye is red, and the other is the eye colour of their Covenant (the person they are bound to). An Angel has nine lives; each life dedicated to a different Covenant. They are driven by a natural maternal instinct to find a Covenant. Their job is to protect and make their Covenant happy for their entire life; until they die. Angels generally do not live by a set of morals, more so they are driven by a natural instinct to protect and make happy. Once their Covenant dies, the Angel resets their life back to when they were younger. They retain all previous memories. Angels are extremely powerful, immortal, and are surrounded by magic. Not all angels are equally powerful. At the end of their ninth cycle, they will die. They are capable of reproducing after their fourth reset (in the fifth cycle). Most Angels are female, though there are males as well.
Mad angels are angels who have either betrayed her covenant, or have simply gone mad by refusing to find a covenant. Mad Angels are extremely rare, due to the fact that it is difficult to betray pure instinct. Mad Angels have usually suffered a devastating loss that causes a mental breakdown. Almost all Mad Angels are seen crying nonstop, and living alone. They are volatile, and tend to isolate themselves from populations to keep from going on a rampage and flattening an entire village - not that it has not happened. If a Mad Angel can be convinced to reset, there is a chance they may be saved.
