Ki

Magic, as it is understood, is simply the manipulation of various energies in order to make things happen that otherwise would not. By that definition ki is inherently a form of magic, though one that much like wizardry takes years of study in order to master.

Those who study various monastic traditions learn to harness the energies within their own bodies for various uses. Some can cast spells similar to the more traditional magic users, but the primary use is to enhance their hand to hand combat abilities; monks can stun an enemy when they strike, make themselves move faster, gain the ability to touch into the ki of others and understand languages, and this mastery even allows them to age slower than normal.

Different traditions have different abilities, of course, but these are just the broad strokes of what one who has mastered ki can do.
