Augmentation: The Phase
Marius Green's Augmentation
This augmentation allows his atomic makeup to shift in multiple ways. The two ways are Clustering, making his atoms come closer together, and dispersing, layering his atoms out farther apart.
Clustering makes Collin's muscles stand out more against his skin and clothing, beefing him up in height and bulk. Dispersing thins Collin, giving him a slightly iridescent sheen to his skin and a sickly look to his body.
Clustering: Collin's atoms become a solid mass of pure muscle atoms, sometimes pulled from objects around him.
Dispersing: Collin's atoms expand farther away from each other, making him lighter and able to phase through objects.
Collin will return to his usual form after using his ability.
Clustering: Collin's atoms become heavier, a solid mass that feels minimal pain, glances most weaponry and physical blows off of him, and makes him more painful to hit.
Dispersing: Collin's atoms expand farther away from each other, making him lighter and able to phase through objects.
When Clustering, Collin can pull atoms away from the objects around him for a heavier effect. He also may need to eat more afterward. When dispersing, Collin can lengthen himself out to become slightly taller, giving his atoms more room to phase with. He may also not feel hunger for a while or need to drink a lot of water.
After Phasing for a long amount of time, or switching between the two often, Collin's physical state may fluctuate randomly between extreme hunger, thirst, and energy bursts, to extreme exhaustion and long bouts of sleeping. It is then up to the other Augmented Human's in his Hub to care for him.
Collin's power makes him incredibly useful, while also possessing many facets to its usage.
Power: 6
Complexity: 7
Earth
Collin expells a lot of physical energy when producing both effects. Condensing uses calories, Dispersing uses water.
Calories, water, energy.
6 months of training with the The Arrival and himself.
Collin cannot phase through pure substances that are almost completely their original element, they need to be diluted with one or multiple other elements. He is also not invincible, and enough blows or a strong enough blow will injure and possibly incapacitate him. If knocked unconscious he returns to his original human form. If intoxicated in any way he may lose slight control of his form.
Time and experience with objects and elements helps a lot!
