SUNDOG BOOKS is a three-story, classic brick bookshop and bookbinding repair on the corner where Spruce meets Market.

The ground floor is devoted to new books, with the back half of the store for local and indie authors; the second floor is for used books, and they have a buy-sell-trade program; and the third floor is half children's (both new and used books) and half the office and where the book repair area is located.

There is also a secret basement area spelled so Humans cannot enter where supernatural creatures can find books and tomes to address their own needs.

The Statute is in effect everywhere but the secret basement area.

Snow Haven, Alaska

The ground floor, second, and third floors consist of the new and used books in question. The basement is dedicated to supernatural clientele and houses rare magical tomes and books exploring subjects by supes for supes.

Zyan is also a bookbinder and repairs damaged books and book bindings. He is especially experienced with repairing damage to old spell books and other arcane tomes.

He is particularly about protecting the wares in his shop and does not allow outside food or drinks inside the door - the door is spelled to compel anyone, Human or otherwise, to discard those items before they step inside. Instead, he has a working relationship to Lunar Pastries next door and often shoos customers there if they want to enjoy their new books with coffee or a snack.

Sundog Books is the only dedicated place to find magical books and tomes in town, since the library does not keep stock of such things, unless you want to go through channels like Nightfall or other more elicit businesses.

There may be a clerk or part-time assistant, but otherwise Zyan runs the bookshop entirely by himself and it opens, closes, and operates per his whims.

Upon arrival in Snow Haven 6 years ago, and wanting to make of himself a right proper Mage, Zyan bought up an old brick building on Spruce Avenue and opened Sundog Books, a new and used bookstore.
