Terra Minor

A planet, homeworld of all humans before the Vanishing

Terra Minor, which was once called Earth, was a planet in ruins after the galactic and nuclear civil wars almost destroyed it. The planet is now springing with life again, clean and clear oceans, animals thriving and the people who were left behind are stronger than ever because of adapting to radiation

On the whole planet, there is maybe 88 million people

Though the planet has advanced technology and ideas, most cling to their ancestor's ways and do not use currency and barter instead. Currency only exists in the larger cities

Forgiven but never forgotten

The laws are basic, the laws are like the ones we have here in the United States except most civilians do not have guns because crime is low in most Clans and there is not any need to have them in their homes, abortion is legally universal on their planet though because not all Clans are as rich as others it is not always readily available, LGBTQ rights are fully protected. In their armies, it is not uncommon for a man or a woman to take a same-sex lover as a fighting companion and then spouse if they wish

Gladiator fights between Clans, none deadly fights mind you. Also, Saber Racing and various tournaments of strength and skill are popular in the high up circles of their society

Look at a map of the Earth now and that's what Terra's land looks like but some continents look different like they were broken up and some new lands have formed

Many, most are like the ones we have now but some crops have evolved

The climate of Terra is warmer most of the year but when winter comes it is harsh and very cold because they are in what scientist would call a "seasonal ice age".

Whenever the Earth was first formed but the government of Terra Minor and its economy were not established until the primitive year 2098 and then it was reformed again in 2465 when the Galactic War broke out

Terra Minor was founded when nuclear civil war and galactic war spread through the solar system. A lot of the population lived on other planets in the solar system and controlled Earth, calling it Terra Minor. When a rebellion against the leading planets was launched, Terra Minor was brutally attacked by the people who had sworn to protect them. The people living on the other planets, like Jupiter and Mars and Saturn, had forgotten that they were humans too and not some mighty interstellar demigods. They enslaved many people of Terra Minor and still are but after Terra fought back with weapons of their own they have been less and less inclined to disturb the more primitive of their people.

The War of Deimos
(a battle fought on the original moon of Earth. Began when Jupiter pinned down a settlement of Terrans and killed any rescue ships. Ended with the Jupiterians enslaving the Terrans of the settlement and taking them back to their planet. Deimos is now abandoned by both former inhibitors and is used mostly by the Terrans to send their criminals)

The Creation of Phobos
(during one of the first attacks on Terra, Mars blew up a part of the planet and used it to rapidly create a second moon of Earth to try to destabilize the balance of the planet. It worked and all large coastline cities were destroyed and millions if not billions died. Islands were destroyed as well by the rising tides and those that did not are almost impossible to live on)
