King and Queen have equal standing in the kingdom.
A King/Queen's spouse inherits the title of Prince/Princess
(1) The King/Queen's children inherit the title of Prince/Princess.
(2) The eldest child carries the title of Crowned Prince/Princess.
The Commanders have the highest position of power outside of the royal family.
(1) Chosen by the King/Queen.
(2) Control one of four areas.
(a) Personal Security for the Royal Family.
(b) Expansion and War Fronts.
(c) Protection of civilian population.
(d) Security of prisoners and hostiles.
If the King/Queen dies or steps down, either their eldest child or their sibling can inherit the throne. The sibling of the King/Queen has final ruling on the decision.
(1) Whoever doesn't assume the title of King/Queen maintains the title of
Prince/Princess.
(2) If the eldest child isn't chosen to be King/Queen, then they remain Crowned
Prince/Princess.
(3) If the sibling of the King/Queen passes the title, the sibling
inherits the title of Advisor.
(a) The Advisor has power to delay an order given by the
King/Queen and give the decision to a vote via council.
(i) The council consists of the four commanders, the Advisor, any acting Princes/Princesses, and the King/Queen
Drayan’s are extremely loyal to the royal family, holding them as the highest form of authority. The Resta’s word is held as absolute, no matter what, the potential of corruption never crosses their mind.
They’re also quite traditional. The last big technological development led to the fall of Erios and the exile of half their people. As such, change is resisted until they are left with no other choice.
Draya was once a part of Erios, but during the Great Divide, Queen Eileen exiled those who supported Casimir Lyndon’s batteries. Those exiled were given a portion of Erios’ territory and the remaining territory was named Draya.
