There are a few characters in the Inferno Gem who come from this county and later moved to New Kansas County.

There are a few sports for the Vaishyas and Kshatriyas to play: soccer, baseball, football, etc. Competitive shooting is (alas) nonexistent.
Social classes may not exchange confidences, befriend/have relationships with each other, or treat each other as equals. Anyone who breaks the laws set in order by Fernosi's government will be demoted to a Chandala and no one may protect the Chandalas unless they are a Chandala themselves. Chandalas may not receive government protection or assistance from other social classes. Any drugs or drug paraphernalia found within the borders of NOC will be confiscated and the person in question found with such items will be demoted to Chandala status.
There isn't much need for currency, but in the upper classes, there's talk of a new credit system consisting of virtual credits that are backed by opals and/or silver pieces.

There are year-round golden tomatoes, a few peaches, lots of corn (which, despite many attempts, only grows at one season and is still often bug-eaten), self-separating wheat, and many other grains and herbs that are native to this area as well as year-round squash and easy-to-grow bean plants that are resistant to bugs.
It is often quite windy and prone to storms and tornadoes, but it can be very hot in the summertime.

WWIII was fought valiantly and violently in this location as well as many others.

New Oklahoma County is one of many counties in Fernosi, though it is the size of a fairly large state. The city-states are as large as countries, but they are called city-states instead, like the counties that are more like states. I might change counties into districts later.
