The Crimson Set
Various items infused with Morphidae soul
Predominantly magic item, can be any type
Depends on the item, going from a few hundred grams to a few kilograms
Every item is made from the best quality materials, in order to ensure its resistance and beautiful aspect
The very first item was created after the second war against Mahiru, but the idea of making more did not arrive until a few thousands of years later, when a secret project was started on human territory. The project managed to create 21 more items before it was discovered.
The 23rd item was the last one created before the facilities were all destroyed and the evidence of the project ever existing were erased. There are rumors of a 24th item, created after the fall of the experiment, but little information exists about said Item, as it wasn't used for too long
Depending on the item's type, the effects are different.
Most battle oriented items (such as weapons) provide the user with enhanced abilities, such as strength, speed, agility, stamina or anything else.
The rest of the non-weapon items only have an effect on the person they are used on
- Any object, made especially for this process
- A Morphidae soul
- A seal
In order to create a demon infused item, one must first decide on the object that will be used in the process. Once the decision is taken, a master craftsman is given the task to create the said object, using only the top finest materials for increased endurance.
The second stage of the process involves the infusion of the object with the soul matter of a living Morphidae. In earlier experiments, the soul would be entirely infused in the object, but in later versions it was decided that only the external soul layer should be used, as it's the Morphidae's raw power - once the infusion process is complete, the creature's soul core is destroyed. (The core of a Morphidae's soul is the creature's vital essence, while the external layer is made up of power magic that protects the vital core and dictates how much power the creature has).
The final step is the appliance of the seal, in order to lock the soul matter in place
Due to how long the process is, the complicated equipment it requires and how hard it is to capture a living Morphidae, these type of objects cannot be mass produced.
No #1 - unknown
No #2 - a Guzheng whose melody puts anyone that hears it to sleep
No #3 - an umbrella that can capture anything or anyone
No #4 - ???
No #5 - a large hammer

No #24 - a magic sword, the most notorious of the whole set, having been nicknamed "Crimson River" due to the large number of victims it had
The items created in the experiment's early days possess daemons with a completely free will, as back in those days, the soul separation process had not been invented yet, so they used the whole Morphidae soul in the infusion process - this, in turn, forces the user to subdue the daemon in order to use the abilities of the items. Taming the daemon requires emotional stability and strength; once the user can no longer control the daemon, they lose access to the item's abilities.
Most of these items are non-weapon item types, therefore no big problems exist.
The rest of the items that were created using only the raw power of the Morphidae do not require taming, as the daemons have little to no free will.
Given that a large majority of these items are weapons, they were designed to bind to the first person to use them. The binding lasts for life and the item cannot be used by anyone else other than the person it's bound to until the person dies, after which the cycle repeats. This feature is mostly found in items with very strong daemons, as to not become a threat by accident.
