A Ball of metal from inside the mountain that Perses destroying in creating the Fourtunate Island.
It weighs accordingly to one's magical understanding. If a Faye who doesn't know much magic opens it, the book would weigh extremely heavy, and to that Faye, unable to be used. If a Faye who knew a wide range of magic spells tried to open it, the ball would feel extremely light, because a Faye understands.
