Watchers of the New Dawn

A cult of descendants of the Essik who desire better treatment and consider a return of War for that end. The cultists are called the Devout and view those with a greater degree of inheritance or lineage as more prestigious.

• Mysteriarch Diana was a leader of the cult for around 50 years due to her lineage, talent, and charisma.

• Captain Rose was hatched and raised by the cult with the intent of becoming either an instrument of peace or weapon of war on behalf of the cult and other descendants.

The cultists are descendants of the Essik who feel they have been mistreated by the world. They want "fair" treatment but are divided in their number on how best to achieve this.

Better treatment from everyone else.

a) War. Force the world to bend.
b) Commune. Bring as many of their fellows as possible and simply retreat until a later age, when the cultural reputation is that of hermits instead of warmongers.
c) Treaty. Preach good things and interact with the other peoples. The world will not change with inaction.
