Druids of the Greenwood

The Greenwood is the largest forest in Eralon, and thus home to most of the world's druids. Even if they split off, they most often get their training in the Greenwood before going elsewhere in the world.

This is important, because according to the druids the forest itself is alive. The energy of so many funerals, so many negative emotions as people bury and mourn their loved ones, has resulted in the forest as a whole becoming a semi-sentient being. These druids consider it their sacred duty to tend to this forest and its inhabitants, and keep it calm at all times so that the negative energy does not cause problems. Many bind themselves to the forest, considering it to be a source of all their druidic powers as they stay within its boundaries until they eventually die and become part of the cycle as they are buried by their fellow druids who mourn the loss of one of their own.
