Kingdom of Atlania

A large kingdom in the south that has stood for centuries

Monarchy

All power originates with the Barons and the king, who parcel out land as they see fit in a top down governance.

The king

The king of Atlania is beholden to the three barons, so if they all decide that the king is no good, they can demand he be replaced. They can even decide that the kingdom be dissolved. All decisions by the barons must be unanimous though.

It focuses mostly on punitive fines for lesser crimes, but more serious issues are dealt with severly

Atlania has a small standing military controlled by the king, that can be supplemented by the Barons and many lords.
