To show devotion to Ginnungagap and gain its favour, one must travel to the edges of the world and survive its judgement.

Ginnungagap treats its followers like pets, taking good care of them and happily fulfilling their requests.

When the world began, it was just Nilfheim, Muspelheim, and The Screeching Abyss. But eventually the energies of the other primordial gods began encroaching, and Ginnungagap became smaller and smaller, until it was reduces to the boundaries around the world, merely a shadow of what it once was.
