A god of nature and has been longer than any god has ruled over something. He's considered the most powerful god known. Able to manipulate plants and animals.

Ash is an ancient and powerful god of nature. It's his name that was invoked to turn Austin and Em into turnskins. He occupies a space in both of their heads, tempting them to become only animal and to let go of their human side. His influence is strong enough to keep Em in a wolf form, though she keeps her human mind, and occasionally transforms parts of Austin, such as the inside of his nose or his fingers.
