Rabbit grew up on a farm and was drafted into the war when he was seventeen. He faithfully served the army until he was thirty one, but when he returned home found no supportive family. He worked odd end jobs, but having had no proper schooling, he couldn't find a steady job. He found, however, he didn't need one to survive. He helped guide Milo and Blackie on their mission, and despite being a crotchety old man, his heart softens for them, their background, and their cause.
