She's currently going to the school in town (she's in grade 5)

Brownie was in an unhealthy home when she was young. When she was about three, there was a shooting incident (which is why she hates thunder) and both of her parents were killed. She was left out in the elements for a week before Rabbit found her and took her into the home.
