Tends to be just a little overconfident in the abilities of those around for him, but at the same time doubts these same abilities, to the point where his plans become messy and entangled until he's the only one that could make any real sense of them. Sometimes a little overcautious, preferring to plan his moves far in advance rather than act on the spur of the moment.
Occasionally afflicted with Medeis Madness, though he hides it well
Definitely upperclass manners and a way of speaking. Listens, but also is more likely to just go with what he wants rather than what others say he should do. Tends to be a lot more relaxed around those he knows, and can be a bit tactile around them, just touching their hands or shoulders when he doesn't know what else to do. Wouldn't touch someone without permission, though, and is definitely as respectful as he can be about people's personal space.
Revenge/reclaiming the crown
No one from the Tudor line could possibly be any good (the house Henry VI comes from. Henry VI is the current king, who stole the throne from Richard III, this Richard's uncle)
Line of descent/heir apparent over anyone else with a claim, even if they could potentially rule better
Magic
Planning/forethought (though surprisingly, he isn't very good at card games)

17 August 1473
Richard grew up in the palace in England until he was nine years old, when his father died and his uncle, Richard III, took over. Richard III locked the younger Richard and the older brother, Edward V, in the Tower of London. In late 1484, Richard III send Richard IV and Edward V away to stay with an aunt in Burgundy, France. Edward, however, had been stricken with Medeis Madness caused by the Tower's latent magic, and slowly deteriorated into insanity before dying. Richard was stricken as well, but recovered for the most part. He occasionally relapses into it, but manages to hide it rather well.

Heir Apparent of England
As the heir apparent, he tries to look at the big picture instead of the details. Good of the many over good of the one and all that. He does look at details, but in the end he will choose the big picture over a few details. He is always looking forward to the future and how England can/will be improved. He wants to find a cure for Medeis Madness, not only because of his own struggles but because it killed his brother and he wants to make that much, much better.
Christianity, supposedly, and does his best to make people think he is. However, he's gay, so obviously there's some conflict there. He doesn't truly believe in anything, but when necessary will put on the trappings and appearance of Christianity in order to accomplish his goals.
