Being able to understand and get along better with his sister, Mirai.
He looks forward to having his boyfriend, Eric move in, which happens eventually.
He hasn't thought about what he's wanted much after his parents passed. The main concern after they died was finding a place to stay, getting a job, taking care of Mirai, etc, and then the concerns that came after that. He just takes life as it goes (and tries not to think about what life will mean for him once his sister leaves the nest)..
- He never fully got over his parents' death, choosing to deal with it either by ignoring it or by telling himself they are only away.
He can be a bit passive-aggressive at times, particularly when he's stressed.
Quiet and caring; gentle but capable of being assertive. Easy-going. Irritable at times. Can be a little teasing when annoyed, otherwise, emotionally mature and healthy. Doesn't hold past wrongs against others and doesn't play the martyr act. Introverted but friendly; stoic, often smiles. Sensitive and tends to take things personally; most easily rattled when it comes to his sister.
Bisexual
He prefers to be the giver.
[Blank] - His younger sister whom he basically raised after their parents passed away. In a lot of ways, their dynamic is more like parent and child. They have a good relationship, and he's generally soft with her, but he's become more aloof/less affectionate towards her, thinking she wants him to be. Unfortunately, he gets frustrated because he can't tell what she's thinking at all. Their relationship becomes more and more strained with time, until they're not talking.
Erik -- his boyfriend. They met as co-workers, became friends, and then eventually became a couple. Although they may be read as casual or even just friends, they're quite close.
He was close with his step-mother and had a good relationship with his father. Biological mother not in the picture.
June
Halfway up to high school, though he took a GED later on.
Jun had a relatively normal childhood until his parents passed away when he was 15, leaving him and his baby sister orphans. Without any relatives to take them in, it seemed like the only option was to go to a foster home. However, Jun decided to drop out of school to raise his sister, not wanting to risk being separated or facing potential abuse in a foster home. The first few years were tough among trying to find a place to live, somewhere to work, and someone to watch over Mirai while he was gone. He ended up crashing at a few friends' places until he could secure stable income. Things became easier after he landed better jobs, and for the most part, he's had a normal life with Mirai. He became her legal guardian at 18 and has always been a parental figure to her.
He likes dying his hair different shades of blonde but only does it once in a while (a certain color for so many months, then a change)
When he was in high school, he once dyed his hair reddish-orange and the other kids made fun of him for it. :(
He's bisexual with a strong preference for guys.
He was the one who named his sister.
Esmé is actually his step-mother, making him and Mirai half-siblings.

He lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with his younger sister.
Somewhere in NJ.
Works at a small grocery store.
