Secondary school.

Nicholas was abandoned by his parents at birth. He was raised by the church of Oceanus, a woman named Hannah was tasked with being his caretaker. Nicholas met Aaron Brooke at a church meeting. Aaron's personality drew Nicholas in. Eventually, Aaron told Nicholas that he wanted to leave and explore the world. Nicholas was enthusiastic about the idea. Years later, the two of them ran away from Hatch together.

The Oceanus church owns a herd of cattle, Nicholas often hangs around in the field, talking to them.

Nicholas' necklace allows him to sap stamina from an open wound. With the stamina, and store it inside. With the stamina, Nicholas can:
1- Increase his physical strength
2- Heal his wounds
3- Heal other's wounds
As it absorbs stamina, the black orb slowly turns red. If the orb turns full (Red) it can still take stamina, but it will release it into the air as red mist.

Nicholas died at the age of seventeen. He died after consuming the orb on his necklace, the orb was absorbed into his body. The energy in the orb filled Nicholas, turning him into fire. In this state, Nicholas was able to kill Father Zechariah before his body was turned to ash.
