His mother was the oldest daughter of the Tombs family and ended up getting married to a man so that he could manage things. He did, however, take her family's name. William is the oldest of her sons, and the most competent in his mind. While he did his work and kept everything up to date, his siblings managed their time between that and hobbies. Growing up, he realised he took himself too seriously and let himself go, but maybe a little bit too much?

His power is some control over the elements
