Her parents were happy, until she reached middle school. Her father was caught cheating on his wife, and abandoned the family while her mother was battling cancer, from which she died a year later. She ended up with maladaptive daydreaming, using it to cope with her losses, and ended up losing all of her friends, who never cared to help her in the first place. She and her brother Peter were put into foster care and have remained there since.
