Different gods are constantly trying to get him to join their side, but he hasn't allied with any supernatural forces yet. Helped Ostaros at some point without really realizing it but he's never been fully affiliated with any one power

His mom made a deal with a demon so her sister (Michael's mom) would get to marry Mr. Gray for his company. His mom ended up dying of cancer when he was 15, which forced him to leave Germany to move in with his cousin. He lived there until he graduated highschool, where he then went into the military for 4 years and spent the entire time on the U.S.S Cyclops. He met his ex Finn Vasiliev then, and dated him in secret for most of his time in the military. He was going to marry Finn, but Finn ended up cheating on him and died in a DUI car crash while riding passenger. Kaz tried to kill himself two days later but was saved by Cas. He's been presumed dead for about 2-3 years.
