despite his robotic upgrades & features, his movements are entirely human, naturalistic, though in combat he has the precision of a droid
angry at the people who made him into what he is, wants to dismantle & cause pain to those who took away his humanity, wants to be alone but despite it all can't help himself from helping and protecting when the opportunities present themselves, feels like the only thing he knows how to do is fight so thats what he does, but he doesnt have that long term idealized goal of a better future his brother has
programming makes his combat skills merciless and violent, doesn't have faith in really much of anything or anyone (most of all himself), would abandon teams (and his little brother) even if things were going well...mostly because he doesn't want to be close to anyone again. he fears feeling like hes part of something bigger and being cared for when hes so used to being alone/not feeling like he deserves it
excellent combat fighter (fought in gladiator-styled arenas before)
bit of a brooder, though softer when it comes to protecting those who can't defend themselves, has a deeply embedded pain in being alone and feeling betrayed

either Rez was forcefully taken from his home/brother along with his father after the Xavions find out about his father's research OR his father tells him they must run away and slip away quietly and leave behind Pixel for his own safety. regardless they are captured and the father is killed while rez is tested on (the father's research is implanted into him) and eventually forced into their gladiator games. their constant upgrading, torture, and experimenting causes him to lose memories of his past life before being captured by them. however he is a champion of the arena, and a fan favorite. because of this he is relatively speaking, treated well and lives luxuriously from the money he earns them w/ his performances. it may bother him to a certain extent that he can't remember who he was in the past, and he understands that the xavions most likely stole him from a once normal life and family, but he struggles to assign this knowledge to a genuine emotional response
