Luke Hintley was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1946 to a Beatrice and Frank Hintley. He was conceived in Central State Hospital and lived in Kentucky for all his childhood. At the age of 23, Luke moved to Illinois and joined the U.S army. He stayed with the armed forces until his death in 1985 and was able to earn the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-06).
On February 11th, The U.S army decided to test a new form of nuclear weapon made and designed by E.Q.E.S technologies. The nuclear reactor was x3 stronger than that of Hiroshima and was going to be tested in the Chihuahuan Desert.
Luke was tasked with keeping records with all personnel in the area and making sure the site was clear of any living specimen. The bomb was set to explode in the next 5 minutes when Luke gained word that a vehicle carrying several soldiers had broken down several kilometres out of the bomb. Luke sent immediate and code red communications to the operators at hand to delay the test until he rescued and retrieved the group of soldiers. There was, however, a communication failure whilst Staff Sergeant Hintley was out in the no-man zone and the nuclear bomb was placed on the countdown. The men stuck in the desert were unable to get back in time and, sadly, were swiftly killed by the radioactive blast. They burnt bodies were later retrieved by forensic teams and sent to quarantine whilst the radioactive wore off.
The energy from the nuclear reactor had affected Luke's genetic makeup slightly and already had altered and fractured his DNA. The Graverobbers discovered this and quickly sent Luke's corpse to the Facility where they placed him under Project: Fallout (Xa-03) and swiftly started on resurrecting and experimenting on him.
This resulted in a meta-human patient fused with nuclear abilities and kinesis' already altered by a high about of unusual (and possibly illegal scientific material from a radioactive weapon.
Luke was now a former version of his past self and was nowhere near stable when the Insurgent run took place. Thankfully, the Facility had ensured he wore a suppression collar to control and eliminate his abilities, therefore, he was unable to provide any sort of damage.
Rachel finds him in The Polygon, Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan (which was used as a nuclear weapons test area by the soviet union during the cold war from the years 1949-1989) feeding of the high radiation levels of the land.
Now, he lies in residence of the Cylo, gradually regaining a few memories of his past life and trying to be fully healed from the tortures of the Facility.
2nd June 1946 (in 2015)
Death date: 11th August 1985
Current age: 69
Luke studied in high school and didn't really excel in any forms of subjects apart from Physical education and Geography. He left college after finding he didn't enjoy studying engineering and, instead, joined the army to be on the front lines.
He had no pets.
