Cairdeas is someone who once ate a warhead and their expression never recovered. He is not keen on being seen as weak, and so is frequently seen glaring at people and crossing his arms. Even for those that know him well, such as Cillian Coimhlint and Iain O'Connor, are frequently stumped by just how rude he can be. Cairdeas is someone who needs to be kept busy at all times; he hates being left to his own thoughts, as they very frequently turn sour and nasty. His solutions tend to be over the top. He can frequently be found on battlefields of nameless worlds, half-dead with birds pecking at him (hence the nickname Birdseed) - he has an uncanny knack for going into tunnel vision when he is fighting. He is also very pretentious in things he is confident in.
He's an extremely vindictive individual, ready to square up at all times and will never turn down a fight (even if there is absolutely no chance of him winning it). As the god of War and Conflict, the urge to fight is ingrained deep within him, and it is rare for him calm or at peace. Despite this, however, he has strong dependencies on both Cillian and Iain - one as his impulse control, another for reassurance. The loss of either of them can send him into shock and, possibly, corruption.
Cairdeas is rarely proactive outside of his comfort zone as an individual, due to his immense track record of failures. On the odd times that he does try, his personality does a 180 and he will be shyly eager, hopeful that whatever monstrosity he tried to cook, or craft that he tried to make, won't blow up in someone's face.
Blunt, rude, frequently seen with arms crossed to assume a defensive posture. Hands constantly doing something, whether it be holding one another, twiddling his thumbs, or holding something in his hands.
The need to not think is a huge motivation for him. He is adept at adopting tunnel vision.
Deep insecurities with himself as a person, a constant need to fight, terrible impulse control. Has great difficulty expressing himself.
Impeccable swordsmanship, he's an absolute failure at most anything else.
Fighting in nameless wars, spending time with Cillian, inciting fistfights.
One of the younger gods, he was born in nearly complete tandem with Cillian Coimhlint. They are polar opposites, and yet maintained a strong and very intimate friendship. In the event where many ambassadors fell into stasis, Cairdeas nearly went mad with grief. It was only through Cillian working to distract him and Tomo's suppression of his memory of the event that Cairdeas ever recovered, if only a slight bit. It was also in this event that Cairdeas lost his eye - thanks to Cillian and an eon of bad luck.
More often than not, Cairdeas is found on a random battlefield, desperate to forget and not think. For now, all that happens is Cillian hunts him down, though it takes much longer than it would with Iain. A part of him is always wishing that his ambassador will return to pull him away and tell him enough is enough, however.
That day is coming - soon.
Humans; no other creatures fight quite as much as they do.
