Cottonberry is a freshman at Burrstone Academy for the Magical Arts. She is the youngest daughter of fairy nobility, and has entered the academy to escape her gaudy reputation as a princess. Artifice Magic comes naturally to her, but her tendency to space out does a number on her grades. Not that she minds - Cottonberry wants to savor her newfound freedom while she can, and studying just doesn't fit the schedule. With her easygoing attitude and head in the clouds, she hopes to have a peaceful school life, and maybe make some real friends along the way.

It’s very difficult for her to focus on one thing at a time, and she doesn’t put effort into subjects she isn’t interested in. She also has trouble making her own decisions and relies on others for affirmation. Thoughts are somewhere else 70% of the time, and easily forgets important things.

Is the youngest daughter of the fairy queen, with 6 older siblings, and too many relatives to count. Used to live under strict rules on how to act and what to enjoy. Always having to uphold her status and image left her increasingly overwhelmed and in need of an escape. Was invited to Burrstone Academy, and despite her distaste for schoolwork, she accepts as an excuse to move out and start living for herself.

Despite having the least royal responsibilities compared to her older siblings, Cottonberry still greatly dislikes the pressure put on her as a princess. To avoid any high expectations or special treatment, she tries her best to hide the fact that she's royalty from her classmates. If someone's close enough friends with her, though, she'll probably mention her family once or twice.

Her main motivation for attending Burrstone Academy is to learn how to fend for herself, since she's spent so much of her life depending on her family. She also sees it as an escape from the strict rules and responsibilities that come from being a (somewhat) public figure.

Cottonberry has always lived in the shadows of her older sisters, and is expected to follow in their footsteps and become one of the kingdom's leaders. This is the one thing Cottonberry doesn't want to happen, since she finds no joy in leadership or engaging in fairy politics.

Her obsession with video games could have stemmed from a desire to escape her family's strict way of life. Her interest in technology as a whole comes from a need to seperate herself and her interests from that of her family, who's abilities are focused on nature.

Cottonberry is eventually given the reputation of a matchmaker among her classmates; she gives great dating advice and seems to know which couples are meant to be. But despite her astute knowledge of romance, unfortunately she can never seem to find a long-term partner herself.

Learns to live more in the moment. Learns to embrace her emotional vulnerability. Accepts her different way of learning and is taught how to study and focus in a way that works for her. Experiences loneliness and missing a loved one. Becomes more in-tune with nature once she learns to appreciate it.

Ambiguous Disorder - She tends to hyperfixate on video games and other things she likes, while also having a lot of trouble focusing on school-related topics. This causes her grades to be lower than average.

Cloud Cuckoolander - While much more mellowed out than other examples of this trope, she constantly has her head in the clouds, often relating real-life to video games. She's also an avid daydreamer, often lost in thought when she has nothing else to do.

Gamer Chick - She loves video games a great deal, and tends to be fairly skilled when it comes to her favorites.

Sleepyhead - She has a tendency to doze off in class, due to the fact that she stays up playing video games most nights.

Pacifist - Downplayed, compared to Iceblade. She has a decent moral code, but doesn't force it on others. She's relatively neutral when it comes to conflict, unless it involves her own relationships or if anyone could get hurt. Since she aims for everyone's happiness, her main goal is to keep others from disrupting the peace.

Deliberate Under-Performance - Zig-zagged. When she was young, she would be praised as a gifted student. Eventually, a developing mental disorder caused a severe lack of focus, which caused her grades to plummet. No matter how hard she tried to study or complete assignments, she still failed to keep up with her classmates. Because of this, she now doesn't see studying as a good use of her time, and rather as an unecessary source of stress.

Green Thumb - The magic powers she inherited are plant-based, allowing her to manipulate plantlife mostly to defend and heal others. Ironically, from the start she doesn't seem very interested in nature, so these abilities are less due to skill/effort and more due to inheriting a good amount of talent from her parents.
